At the WeChat Open Class in March this year, WeChat officially announced the "Ask a Question" function.
Follow-up and small-scale testing, initially using an invitation system, only some verified creators of video accounts who received invitations could use the feature in advance.
The "Ask a Question" portal is located in "Search" on the "Discover" page, above "Search Discovery".
This function has been called "WeChat version of Zhihu" by netizens since the internal test, because it is also a Q&A product, where users can initiate questions or select questions to answer.
With the continuous improvement of the "Ask a Question" function, the test scope of this function has gradually opened up recently, and more and more users have obtained the experience qualification.
If the entrance to "Ask a Question" has not yet appeared in your WeChat "Search and Search", you can first click on a topic in "Search Discovery".
After jumping to the search page of the topic, the page will display the topic answer in "Ask a Question", and then click "Ask a Question" at the top to enter the function page.
After exiting the page, the "Ask a Question" portal will appear.
In the "Ask a Question" function, you can browse through various Q&A topics.
However, if you want to initiate or answer questions, you need to authorize the login as the video account, and only after logging in can you have the permission to Q&A.
In addition, Tencent officially released a recruitment questionnaire for seed users of the Q&A function recently.
If you are still unable to activate "Ask a Question" through the above methods, you can try to apply through the questionnaire to obtain qualification permissions.
