On June 2, the child's father, Wen Tao, spoke out for the first time after the incident, describing the whole process of the tragedy that day.
On June 1, Children's Day, the kindergarten is closed, so on May 31, the kindergarten held a performance event, and June 2 is the daughter's 5-year-old lunar birthday, Wen Tao specially took two days off, preparing for the 31st daughter to take his wife and daughter out after school, "the daughter is especially looking forward to this", Wen Tao recounted.
On May 31, her daughter specially wore the white gauze dress bought by her grandfather and wore a veil, and happily went to participate in kindergarten activities. At about 8 a.m. that day, Wen Tao drove to a stop about 50 meters from the kindergarten, and then asked his wife and daughter to walk over, "There are too many people at the school gate, it's not good to turn around," Wen Tao explained, but soon after, Wen Tao heard a noise, and then heard someone shouting "hit someone."
He quickly ran over and found that the front of a white off-road vehicle was under the crosswalk, and the rear of the car had been put on the fence of the crosswalk, and there were two people between the rear of the car and the wall, it was his wife and daughter, someone was shouting next to the car, but the white off-road vehicle hit it backwards again for some reason, "My wife looked at me, but I couldn't speak," Wen Tao said in tears.
The nearest police station was only more than 100 meters away, so the police quickly arrived, and then helped the 120 medical staff carry his wife and daughter on a stretcher to the hospital for rescue.
However, an hour after being sent to the hospital, his wife lost vital signs, and her daughter was rescued until about 5 p.m., when experts from Hunan Provincial Children's Hospital and Xiangya Hospital were brought in, but they were not saved.
It is understood that Wen Tao's wife was broken ribs and inserted into the lung, and the daughter was seriously injured to the brain, the scene screen shows that the trunk position of the white off-road vehicle that caused the accident is seriously deformed, you can imagine the strength of the impact, witnesses at the scene revealed that it may be the first time when reversing did not see the collision, found that the collision after wanting to move, but did not change gears and stepped on the accelerator and hit again.
Mention his wife and daughter, Wen Tao still can't stop crying, "My wife has not enjoyed any blessings with me, it is very hard, usually very economical, even cosmetics are reluctant to buy for themselves, but they are very generous to themselves and their daughter", and before the incident, in order to prepare their daughter for elementary school, the couple was ready to buy a house in the second half of the year, and even who to borrow money with had been planned.
"What I regret the most now is why I didn't drop them off at the school gate that day," Wen Tao added.
After the incident, the kindergarten involved did not open on June 2, and the staff introduced the reason for the closure, "due to the holiday, it has nothing to do with the accident".
