On May 31, Luoyang Intermediate Court established the first "Yellow River Cultural and Judicial Protection Base" in the province at the Erlitou Xia Du Site Museum.

Yellow River Cultural Judicial Protection Base
The Yellow River is an important birthplace of the Chinese nation, the Yellow River culture is an important part of Chinese civilization, and Luoyang is an important bearer of the Yellow River culture. In recent years, in order to protect, inherit and carry forward the Yellow River culture, Luoyang Court has closely woven a protective network, severely cracked down on illegal and criminal acts such as damage to cultural relics, theft of ancient cultural sites and ancient tombs, continued to increase the judicial protection of cultural relics and intangible cultural heritage in the Yellow River Basin, coordinated cultural inheritance and utilization and ecological protection and governance, realized the promotion and continuation of the cultural value of the Yellow River, and protected the soul of the Yellow River culture with the power of justice.
This time, the Luoyang Intermediate People's Court set up the Yellow River Cultural Judicial Protection Base in the Erlitou Xia Du Site Museum, aiming to comprehensively use the functions of criminal punishment, administrative supervision and prevention, civil division and cessation, and base education and warning through the "law enforcement + justice + base" model, so as to realize the comprehensive, concentrated and precise escort of the rule of law to the Yellow River culture.
The establishment of the Yellow River Culture (Luoyang) Judicial Protection Base also marks that Luoyang Court has made new progress in innovating judicial protection mechanisms, which is an effective connection between judicial functions and cultural relics and cultural protection, a practical embodiment of the implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on visiting Henan, and an important measure to implement the ecological protection and high-quality development strategy of the Yellow River Basin, and at the same time can further create a good atmosphere for cultural relics protection and guide more social subjects to establish the concept of protecting the Yellow River culture.
