From May 28th to 29th, the 16th Shanxi Provincial Games mass sports event Chinese Wrestling Competition was held in Daixian. After fierce competition among 175 male and 75 female team members from 10 municipal teams, 24 gold medals went to their respective owners. The organizing committee awarded the Taiyuan, Linfen and Xinzhou teams the "Sports Ethics and Style Award" and awarded 7 outstanding referees the honorary title.
The competition is hosted by the People's Government of Shanxi Province, organized by the Sports Bureau of Shanxi Province, co-organized by the Shanxi Provincial Heavy Sports Center, Shanxi Chinese Wrestling Association, Xinzhou Sports Bureau and Daixian People's Government, with two groups: Group A and Group B. Group A consists of 6 levels for men and 4 levels for women, and Group B has 8 levels for men and 6 levels for women. The age of Group A participants is 19-50 years old, and the age of Group B participants is 15-18 years old.
The Xinzhou City, Shuozhou City, Taiyuan City, Linfen City, Jinzhong City, Yuncheng City, and Jincheng City teams all have gold medals in the account. The Xinzhou team from the "hometown of wrestling" became the biggest winner, winning 8 gold medals. The Shuozhou team won 7 gold medals. The Taiyuan team won 3 gold medals, the Linfen and Jinzhong teams each won 2 gold medals, and the Yuncheng and Jincheng teams each won 1 gold medal.
Chinese wrestling moves are simple, varied, and highly ornamental. This tournament adopts a single-elimination system. During the two-day competition, the participating athletes showed their skills, fought wits and courage, showed their skills, and fought close to each other to win with their skills.
