Because its formation has taken tens of thousands of years, stalactites have important research value for ancient geological investigations.

Under the existing legal framework, even if the top punishment is only ten days of detention and a fine of 500 yuan, it is somewhat insignificant for this spectacle that can only be formed in tens of thousands of years.
