Top class
Adhering to the concept of "one system and three modernizations" (tutor system, small class, personalization, and internationalization), the "top-notch class" is arranged separately to implement the master's and doctoral training.
Xidian currently offers a total of 3 top-notch classes for computer, mathematical information talents and physics elites, of which the computer top-notch class was approved as the 2.0 base of the Ministry of Education's basic discipline top-notch student training plan in 2021.
Excellence Class
"Excellent Class" is the abbreviation of the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program 2.0" experimental class, which benchmarks the basic requirements of the development of new engineering and builds an excellent engineer training system that deeply integrates education and teaching. Students who are not suitable for the study of the excellent class are divided according to the comprehensive evaluation results based on academic performance, and students who meet the conditions can enter the six-year consistent training channel of Xidian professional master's students.

Qian Xuesen Space Science Experimental Class
Xidian "Qian Xuesen Space Science Experimental Class" began in 2014, is the fifth experimental class named after "People's Scientist" Qian Xuesen opened by domestic universities, is a top-notch innovative talent training program set up by XD to meet the needs of the rapid development of mainland space industry and space science.
Qian Xuesen's class is formed by selecting about 30 students from the sophomore science and engineering students of the university every year, hiring Academician Zheng Xiaojing as the chief scientist and Academician Bao Weimin as the leader of the advisory group, and the School of Space Science and Technology formulates and implements the training plan. All courses employ associate professors or above as teachers, implement small class teaching, flipped classroom, discussion teaching, and implement a new teaching mode that combines theory and practice and takes students as the main body. Since its establishment, Qian Xuesen's talent training effect has been remarkable, and more than 90% of students have chosen to study in aerospace demand majors in first-class universities at home and abroad, and have created a talent training miracle with a 100% graduate study rate for three times.

Cyberspace Security Experimental Class
The "Cyberspace Security Experimental Class" was established in 2015, relying on the Cyberspace Administration of China Cybersecurity Talent Training Pilot Base and the National First-class Cyber Security College. Every year, the "Cyberspace Security Experimental Class" selects about 40 outstanding students who are interested in network security from the first-year students of the university, hires academicians and experts in network security disciplines as chief scientists, and formulates and implements a training plan by the School of Network and Information Security, and implements a personalized training plan led by masters and two-to-one mentors throughout the process.
At present, the "Cyberspace Security Experimental Class" has trained 5 outstanding graduates, and most of the graduates have gone to top universities at home and abroad for further study, or set up high-tech enterprises, or joined Internet backbone enterprises such as Qihoo 360, Huawei, Tencent, Toutiao, and Shenfu with high salaries, serving key positions in the national economy.
Turing Artificial Intelligence Science Experiment Class
In response to the training needs of new engineering talents in the era of artificial intelligence, XD established the "Turing Artificial Intelligence Science Experimental Class" based on the talent training model of developed countries. The experimental class selects about 40 students for the whole school every year, is equipped with excellent teachers including national, provincial and ministerial high-level talents, invites some well-known scholars at home and abroad to open artificial intelligence-related professional courses, and equips each student with academic tutors to guide students in scientific research training in the direction of artificial intelligence.

Bi Dexian experimental class
