The new generation of HarmonyOS 3 developer preview is finally in the spotlight.

He said that as of now, the number of HarmonyOS devices has exceeded 150 million, making it the fastest growing terminal operating system in history. This time, he brought the latest progress of Hongmeng OS upgrade and ecological construction.
At the same time, Huawei released the new HMS Core6, opening up 69 Kits and 21738 APIs in 7 major areas to global developers, including 13 cross-operating system capabilities, such as OpenHarmony, Android, iOS, Windows, etc.

During the Huawei Developer Conference 2020, HarmonyOS 2 was officially released, announcing to the world that the era of fast connection and resource sharing and other full-scenario eras was officially opened, and various applications were subsequently landed.
Different from the traditional system, the distributed technology used by Hongmeng OS allows each Hongmeng device to be split into functional modules of the entire Hongmeng ecosystem. Nowadays, Hongmeng OS is still iterating.
Yu Chengdong revealed that this year and next year Hongmeng OS will continue to innovate and upgrade, with major changes.
This time, Huawei launched the latest version of HarmonyOS 3 Developer Preview, which is another iterative upgrade of Hongmeng OS2.
It innovates around the three core values of elastic deployment, hyperterminal, and one-time development and multi-terminal deployment, and comprehensively upgrades system performance and development tools. As a new generation of intelligent terminal operating system, HarmonyOS' system architecture can achieve flexible deployment, so that smart devices with different memory can communicate in the same language, so that more devices can more easily carry HarmonyOS.
Gong Ti, President of Huawei's Consumer Business Software Department, said: "HarmonyOS 2 realizes the synergy between mobile phones and smart screens, but this is not enough, and then the new generation of Hongmeng system can support more screens. HarmonyOS 3 delivers a 50% better performance than HarmonyOS 2. He revealed that Huawei plans to provide Hongmeng's self-developed programming language next year.
"The improvement and maturity of Huawei's Hongmeng operating system itself will enhance the competitiveness of China's home appliances, smart devices, bracelets, watches, big health and other products." Hongmeng system is open source software. The strategic cross-border cooperation between ecological cooperative enterprises and Huawei will effectively reduce the cost of intellectual property rights. Today, Yu Chengdong once again announced that hongmeng OS upgrade users have reached 150 million, including mobile phones, tablets, smart watches and other terminals, Yu Chengdong expects that the number of Hongmeng OS users is expected to exceed 200 million before the end of the year, and there will be hundreds of millions of users upgrading Hongmeng OS next year.
He revealed that as of now, Hongmeng Zhilian has more than 1,800 hardware partners and 4,000 ecological devices, with more than 60 million new shipments this year; the number of HarmonyOS atomization services developed by more than 400 partners has exceeded 16,000.
In just a few months, while Hongmeng users are growing rapidly, Huawei's customized products and solutions with multiple partners and the landing of various application scenarios have also appeared, and Huawei has quickly won a number of trademarks and patents such as Hongmine, Hongche, and Hongjiao. Midea Group is a home appliance giant with deep participation in the Hongmeng ecosystem, which has just released a full-scenario smart home operating system independently developed based on OpenHarmony Hongmeng open source, and currently has more than 102 home appliances equipped with Huawei's Hongmeng system.
Zhang Xiaoyi, vice president and CIO of Midea Group, revealed in an interview with Securities Daily and other media reporters that Midea and Huawei will carry out more in-depth all-round cooperation in the second half of the year, from intelligent terminals to health management and B-end industrial Internet. The two sides plan to cooperate in shipments of more than 2 million units this year.
It is understood that in addition to the Midea Group, Quanzhi Technology's multi-chip adaptation framework based on OpenHarmony has matured, Xiaokang shares and Huawei Hongmeng jointly developed a new type of car navigation, and the smart office of Kingsoft is also further upgraded on the basis of the Hongmeng system.
Yu Chengdong revealed that the first Hongmeng cockpit car will also be released at the end of the year. The new HarmonyOS smart cockpit is simple and efficient, and the ecology is shared.
