My Journey to Pujahei (with Guide)

author:Xiaofeng Diary 66

Among Yunnan's many long-standing travel destinations, many people know Kundali, Tengchong, and Maitreya, but very few know about Pujahei.

Before going to Pujahei, it had always been distant, mysterious, and niche, and the appearance in the mind was probably a clear lake, and there was a small boat on the water, quietly, silent and distant. It was this mystery and silence that made me want to walk into it, and in fact it didn't disappoint me, but rather had too many surprises.

The word Pujihei, which means "lake full of fish and shrimp" in the Yi language, is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province and belongs to Pujihei Village, Qiubei County, Wenshan Prefecture. Pujahei is both a large village surrounded by lakes and a wide range of scenic spots.

Swan Lake

In terms of transportation, it is generally from your home city, arriving in Kunming by plane or train, and taking a train to Pujihei Station at Kunming Railway Station or Kunming South Railway Station, which takes more than an hour. Note that both Kunming Railway Station and Kunming South Railway Station have trains to Pujihei, which is very convenient. From Kunming, compared to Lijiang, Dali and Tengchong, Pujihei is the closest.

Pujahei Railway Station is not large, there are few people, 200 meters on the right hand side of the exit is the bus station, where there is a bus to Pujihei, spending 10 yuan for half an hour to the scenic spot. Of course, if you have a lot of money, you can also take a taxi or charter a car, and the fare for one person is about 80 yuan.

Whiteface Village

The bus will drop you off at the entrance of the village in Pujahei, and when you get to the village entrance, you will basically reach your destination, and let the housekeeper pick you up or take a small horse carriage to the hotel you are going to.

After entering Pujahei, all the boats and cars will disappear, and compared to the high-rise buildings of the city, you will find yourself in a place where the gods live in movies and television.

Looking out of the car window, there are all winding mountains around, not high mountains, or the kind of mountains in the costume TV series "Three Lives and Three Lives and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms", near the lake, and there are shocking 10,000 acres of peach blossoms in summer. When I went, it was April, and the lotus flowers were not yet in bloom, but I already thought it was beautiful.

There are two places to stay, one is in Pujihei Village and the other is in Xianrendong Village. There are many homestays in both villages, you can choose online, of course, the best is to choose after you arrive, you can see the specific location of the homestay. It is best to choose the one by the lake, the view is exceptional.

Xianrendong Village

Pujihei Village is more famous and relatively large, and first-time visitors generally choose to live in this village. To live in this village, you must choose the riverside, generally including food and covering about 150 yuan can be done. There are many homestays opened by aborigines, staying in their homes, basically hiring a free tour guide for yourself, which provides a lot of convenience for your future travel.

I stayed in a homestay in Puji Village for 15 days and found that there was a disadvantage in the village, they had a lot of unfinished houses, similar to small cottages, all with only a frame, and then stopped there. There are many locations that are very good and look wasteful, but if you continue to renovate, a house cannot be completed without millions or millions.

The lady of the dormitory where I live said that the renovation cost 8 million.

Around the village

Walking around the village every day, you will see many such houses. Some people say that this was all built before the epidemic, and you can imagine how busy the village infrastructure was at that time, but...

Later, we found that there was a fairy cave village a few kilometers away, which was smaller, quieter, more charming and better than Pujihei Village. We went there for a spin, and sure enough, so, relatively speaking, I recommend Xianrendong Village. If you like a lively atmosphere, it is also good to live in Pujokuro.

After finding a homestay and settling down, the daily task is to check in the various attractions.

Cafe by the lake

Pujihei is a typical karst landform, known for its six characteristics of "water pastoral, lake peak forest, Yijia water town, karst wetland, lotus world, migratory bird paradise", there are 265 scenic spots in the scenic area. Frequent travelers know that the meaning of these six characteristics is very rare and precious, and most of the attractions are naturally formed.

So, you can choose your favorite place to go according to your own situation and purposefully. There are places that have tickets, and some places that don't. My own recommended places are: Xianrendong Village, Qingcheng Mountain, Swan Lake (no tickets to enter at 7 a.m.), Sansheng III Shili Peach Blossom.

Especially Swan Lake, where a friend in the homestay hiked every day.

Pujahei is full of beautiful scenery, as long as you want, you can not spend a penny. I know a woman who has lived in Pujihei for half a year, and every day she finds a place to set up her mobile phone and start live broadcasting.

The temperature here is still quite hot in summer, and it is especially comfortable in the morning and evening. Watching the sunrise every morning and the sunset in the evening is what we are most willing to do.

Sunset by the lake

Pujahei is very quiet, there are many indigenous people, and basically live with them. There are not many places to sell things in the village, it is not overly commercialized. Suitable for slow life, but young people may not feel prosperous enough and do not have much to consume, and this is its benefit. Young people may be better suited to Dali and Lijiang. 、

Finally, it is best to go to Pujahei in the summer when the lotus flowers are in full bloom, when the Pujahei is beautiful.
