The hummingbird eagle moth is known as the "four unlikeness" in the insect world. Because, hummingbird moths first resemble butterflies, with long beaks and inflated antennae at the tip. The wings are dark grey-brown , with black longitudinal stripes on the forewings and orange-yellow hindwings. It is a moth, a "close relative" of the same family of butterflies. The wingspan is about 50 mm. Unlike butterflies, it has a thick abdomen, and this insect has an extra pair of tentacles than hummingbirds and no feathers on its wings, and is very similar to hummingbirds in terms of weight, appearance, living habits, and flight speed, so it has been named hummingbird moth by biologists.

See hummingbirds sucking nectar among the flowers. In fact, hummingbirds are not confirmed, but some moths that are active during the day. Moths are mostly nocturnal, but some moths are active during the day, flying among flowers to collect honey. When the moth visits a flower to suck nectar, it quickly vibrates its wings, and when it hovers in front of the flower and sticks out its long mouth (mouthparts) to collect honey, it is very much like a hummingbird, thus being mistaken for a hummingbird. The hummingbird hawk moth can be seen hovering over greenery in spring and from August to October. The hummingbird eagle moth's long beak and hovering behavior, accompanied by an audible buzzing sound, makes it very hummingbird-like when sucking nectar. This long-beaked nectar feeding feature and hovering behavior provided us with a good time to shoot.

The following group of pictures was taken at the site of the Xi'an World Horticultural Expo (now Shiyuan Park). Hand-held telephoto shooting is not easy, welcome to like and comment.
