Once you've created your project, the next step is to set it up.
We first click on "Project" in the upper left and select "Project Settings".

Here we can modify the sample rate and bitrate of the project, which are the two most important parameters in the project settings. If you are a pure novice student, Le Ge recommends setting the sample rate to 44.100kHz and the Bit resolution to 16 Bit.

Learn about window layout
The entire interface of Cubase is mainly divided into several areas: menu bar, toolbar, observation area, creation track area, engineering area, be sure to remember ~
Click on the upper left corner to design the window layout, and remove the check of the "rack" item on the far right, because this piece is usually not used by us, so turn it off first.
Set up the audio driver
Click on "Devices", select "Device Settings" and find "VST Audio System" in the left column.
In the last lesson we mentioned that if you do not have a discrete sound card, you can install an "ASIO4ALL", which can act as an analog sound card here, which can reduce the delay of audio.

Set the VST path
Click "Devices" and find "Plugin Manager". Here, we can see all the VST plug-ins identified by CUBASE, divided into VST effects and VST instruments.

Then click the plus sign next to the project, add the folder where you store the VST file, and then click "Rescan All" on the right, then Cubase will automatically recognize all VST plugins in the folder you set.
It should be noted that if you are using cubase8 artist or above, this plugin will be installed as 64-bit, if it is a lower version, it will be installed as 32-bit. At the same time, it should be noted that the VST file installation path must be set in the same folder during the installation of the plugin, so that it is convenient to identify it at one time during the scanning process.
To modify the arrangement method of the plug-in, click the small triangle at the top right, and select "Arrange by Catalog" or "Arrange by Manufacturer" to modify the arrangement logic
