Carbon monoxide poisoning is first manifested as damage to the central nervous system, and if it is not treated in time, it may also cause damage to the function of the heart, liver, kidney and other organs, and even endanger life. So, the doctors immediately rescued Yaoyao.
At present, after treatment, Yaoyao has recovered and been discharged from the hospital. Doctors note that carbon monoxide poisoning in infants and young children may present only with irritability and feeding difficulties, and earlier symptoms and signs of poisoning appear, while symptoms in older children are similar to those in adults.
Doctors remind that if someone is found to be poisoned with carbon monoxide, in addition to calling 120 immediately, the following steps are extremely critical before emergency personnel arrive:
1. Immediately get out of the dangerous and closed environment, open doors and windows for ventilation;
2. Remove the secretions of the patient's mouth and nose and keep the respiratory tract unblocked.
