It is understood that at about 17 o'clock on the afternoon of May 10, Ms. Li came to the police station and said that she had picked up a strange-looking bird on the side of the road, and she was not sure whether it was a protected animal and needed the police station to rescue. Then the police immediately stepped forward to check, and saw that the bird's head had a long and broad crown, a light brown head and back neck, and a black back with pale white markings. Through inspection, it was found that the bird was fledgling, should be a chick, and did not have the ability to fly for the time being.

After thanking the enthusiastic people, the police packed the bird into a cardboard box and took it to the backyard of the police station for care, and at the same time contacted the professionals of the Wildlife Protection Association for rescue. At about 18:30 on the same day, the scientific name of the bird was called the hoopoe bird, which is a national second-class protected animal, usually inhabiting plains, grasslands and other open places, and has been listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. At present, the baby hoopoe bird has been carefully cared for by the staff and released back into nature after it is healthy enough to fly.

Police warmly remind: If you find injured wild birds outdoors, please do not rescue them without authorization, to avoid causing secondary damage, you can deal with it with the local agriculture and forestry department or the police
