Falsified UFO papyrus documents - the forgery of museum curator Tully is debunked

author:Mr. Lao Yi talks about history

The so-called is often cited as evidence of a visit to Egypt by a "ancient astronaut" UFO; In fact, anything about Alberto . Both Touli and his references to the papyrus seem to be limited to popular UFO-related literature.

For example, in his book UFOs in History, Samuel Rosenberg describes a number of so-called ancient UFO sightings, one of which was "a papyrus manuscript found in the paper of the late Professor Alberto Tully, former curator of the Egyptian Museum at the Vatican", quoted by Trench (Trench, Brinsley Le Poer, The Flying Saucer Story, London: Spearman, 1966).

According to reports, the former director of the Vatican Egyptian Museum Alberto . Professor Alberto Tulli (now deceased) wrote in his paper "the earliest known record of a fleet of flying saucers written on ancient Egyptian papyrus". Despite the fact that the papyrus was damaged and there were several notches, a prince named Boris de Lacherwertz managed to translate it and declare that the papyrus "was part of the Chronicles of Thutmose III".

Tully Papyrus

Here is a translation of the papyrus:

In the year 22, in the third month of winter, at the sixth hour of the day, the scribe of the House of Life noticed a fire rising from the sky [...] Stench from the mouth. It has no head. Its body is one rod long and one rod wide. Since then, the scribes' hearts have become confused, and they lie on the ground [...] Then they reported the matter to Pharaoh [...] His Majesty the King ordered [...] Examining [...] he was thinking about what had happened, which was recorded on the scroll of the House of Life. Now, a few days have passed, and these things are becoming more and more abundant in the sky. Their radiance exceeds that of the sun and extends to the limits of the four corners of the sky [...] These rings of fire are high and wide in the sky. Pharaoh's army watched him among them. It was after dinner. These rings of fire then rise higher into the sky and move south. Then, fish and birds fell from the air. It is an unprecedented miracle since the establishment of their land [...] Pharaoh brought incense and lived in peace with the earth [...] and what happened was ordered to be written in the Chronicles of the House of Life so that it would be remembered forever.

Questioning the authenticity of the Papyrus, Samuel Rosenberg wrote that a telegram was sent to "the Egyptian section of the Vatican Museums seeking more information about the 'Papyrus' and the 'de Rachewiltz translation.'" ”

Gianfranco Nolli, an inspector at the Vatican Museums in Egypt, sent the following response:

Papyrus Tulli's papyrus is not suitable for the Vatican Museums (collection). Now it has been lost and cannot be traced.

Another survey was sent to Dr. Walter Ramberg, Science Commissioner at the U.S. Embassy in Rome, to which he replied:

...... Dr. Noly, the current director of the Egyptian branch of the Vatican Museums, said Professor Tulley left all the belongings to one of his brothers, a priest at the Lateran Palace. Presumably, the famous papyrus was given to this priest. Unfortunately, the priest also died during this time, and his property was scattered among the heirs, who may have disposed of the papyrus as something of little value.

The authentic first edition of the Tuli Papyrus has been lost, and its guardian, Alberto Tuli, is apparently an amateur Egyptologist at best, while its translator, Prince Rachervets, remains the only authority, and we must trust his words as an accurate report of its content. I think it's safe to say that the authenticity of "Tulli Papyrus" can be denied because of the lack of any conclusive evidence that it ever existed. Apart from Professor Tulley himself, almost no one else has seen the papyrus with his own eyes, and there is no record of any scientific testing.

Professor Tulley's motives for this incident are unknown. In any case, Egyptology has developed to the present, and there are indeed many fake cultural relics, but they basically cannot withstand the scrutiny of experts.
