Hong Kong, May 3 (Zhongxin Net) -- Hong Kong ushered in the first "May Day" holiday after the resumption of normal on April 29, and mainland tourists surged. Different from only visiting Hong Kong for shopping in the past, mainland tourists have diversified their preferences, covering scenic spots, theme parks, country parks, outlying island scenery and local shops, fully experiencing the diverse charm of Hong Kong.

In addition, the West Kowloon Cultural District is a new attraction, with the Hong Kong Palace Museum recording nearly 7,300 visitors on April 30, a record high since its opening, while the M+ Museum also recorded a record-breaking 19,000 visitors. The scenery of the outlying islands also attracts many tourists, among which Cheung Chau's famous fish eggs, glutinous rice dumplings and other shops are lined up in front of them, and the restaurants are also full.

According to statistics, in the first two days of the May Day holiday, Hong Kong has recorded more than 760,000 visitor arrivals, including more than 320,000 mainland visitors, and it is expected that more than 600,000 mainland visitors will arrive in Hong Kong during the entire May Day holiday.
