The previous article and everyone popularized the habits of the deadliest animal on earth, Anopheles mosquitoes, in this issue we will talk about the largest genus in the mosquito family and its classification is many. Aedes mosquitoes are distributed all over the world, nearly 1,000 species, and there are more than 100 species in China. As insects of the family Aedes, Aedes mosquitoes are very annoying. Aedes mosquitoes can transmit many diseases, which is harmful to human health, and yellow fever and dengue fever are mainly transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. Around the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Aedes mosquitoes began to gradually become the main culprit in the spread of Zika virus, making people around the world "talk about mosquito discoloration".

Aedes mosquitoes are insects of the family Aedes, a generic term for the genus Aedes. Among the more important of the Chinese Aedes mosquitoes are the subgenus Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Mosquitoes that have been shown to be vectors for dengue include: Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus, Hebridees aedes, Aedes aedes aegyptius, Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and Aedes medial.
What are the morphological characteristics of Aedes mosquitoes? It is a small and medium-sized black mosquito species with silvery-white markings, with a mid-thoracic shield with a mid-white longitudinal stripe that splits in front of a small shield that extends backwards from the front to the level of the wing base. Posterior tarsal segments 1-4 have a basal white ring, and the terminal segment is completely white. There are basal vaginal bands on the back of the abdomen at 2-6 segments.
Aedes mosquitoes grow in small stagnant waters such as tree holes, bamboo tubes, leaf axils, tanks, stone caves, potholes, etc., and some species grow in rice fields, swamps, and ponds. Its eggs are produced, usually on the wet inner walls of containers or on wet soils of breeding sites. Diapause eggs are resistant to low temperatures and dryness, and use them to overwinter or survive the dry season. In nature, mosquito eggs are only partially hatched in a single flood, and the rest must be flooded twice or more times before they hatch. Aedes larvae are mostly underwater, scraping on lower organisms or other organic matter attached to or on the bottom of the water; a few species, such as the subgenus of Moldy Mosquito, the larvae eat meat, and the female mosquitoes suck blood during the day or night. Aedes mosquitoes are also very good at flying. In general, mosquitoes fly only tens to hundreds of meters, and the farthest is only 1000 to 2000 meters. The Aedes mosquito, on the other hand, can fly 5,000 to 6,000 meters continuously, and is very agile, and can perform difficult actions such as swooping, sharp turns, rolling forward and backward, sudden acceleration or deceleration at will. People raised their palms to shoot at the Aedes mosquito, thinking that they could put it to death, but it could escape and slip away.

Aedes aegypti mosquitoes are dark brown or dark mosquitoes with silver-white markings and white rings on the tarsals. In China, they are found in the Zhanjiang region of Guangdong and Hainan Province, in southern Taiwan, in a few areas of Beihai City and Qinzhou City in Guangxi, and on Weizhou Island. They are the transmitters of dengue fever in the above-mentioned areas of China.

Aedes albopictus mosquitoes are also dark or black mosquitoes with silver-white markings and white rings on the tarsal segments. The mid-thoracic shield has a central silver-white longitudinal stripe, and a cluster of silver-white broad scales in front of the wing base. The larvae are similar to those of the Aedes aegypti mosquito , but have no lateral spines at the base of ctenophores. In China, it is recorded from Hainan Island in the south, to southern Liaoning in the north, and to Baoji in Shaanxi in the west. Female mosquitoes are ferocious blood suckers who harass people a lot in places where they occur in large numbers. They are an important vector of dengue fever in China and one of the transmitters of dengue fever and chikungunya disease in Southeast Asia. In Fujian, Sichuan and other provinces in China, Aedes albopictus is thought to be associated with the spread of Japanese encephalitis.

Aedes aedes is brown or dark brown. The beak is dark brown with white scales at the ends of the tentacles, a yellowish longitudinal strip on the midhorax shield, and a white ring at the base of the posterior tarsal segment 1 to 5 and at the end of 1 to 4. Aedes aedes mosquitoes are found in china along the coast from Liaoning to Guangdong and on certain islands; in Japan, North Korea, Russia, Thailand, malaysia, and in northeast China, the Aedes aedes mosquito has been isolated from the Japanese encephalitis virus.

Aedes aedes is brown, brown or light brown. Female mosquitoes have white scales at the ends of the tentacles; there are clusters of scales in the posterior and sub-valve areas; the wings are brown, and there are usually a few pale scales in the basal segments of several longitudinal veins; there are pale scales in the brown scales in front of the forefoot and midfoot femoral segments, forming pedant points, and the tarsal nodes have a basal white ring; the dorsal plate of the 2nd to 7th segment of the abdomen has a basal white belt, straight, or "∧", or has a pale central longitudinal strip. Female mosquitoes mainly sting cattle, horses and other domestic animals, but also suck human blood. They are quite harassing of people and animals in places where they occur in large numbers. Aedes aegis mosquitoes are widespread in the New Northern, Palearctic, Eastern and Pacific islands.
Aedes mosquitoes transmit many diseases. Yellow fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the yellow fever virus, with the Aedes aegypti mosquito being the main vector. Dengue fever is an acute infectious disease, and 12 species of Aedes mosquitoes are known to transmit the disease, but the main ones are Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Guangdong and Guangxi are mostly transmitted by Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, while the Leizhou Peninsula, guangxi coastal, Hainan province and Southeast Asian regions are dominated by Aedes aegypti. Aedes mosquitoes can acquire infection as long as they come into contact with infectious fluids once, and the virus is contagious after 8-14 days of replication in the mosquito, and the infection period can reach 174 days. When the contagious Aedes mosquito bites a human body, it transmits the virus to humans. Due to the detection of dengue virus particles in the ovaries of Aedes mosquitoes, it is speculated that Aedes mosquitoes may be a reservoir host for the virus. Having said all this, the Aedes mosquito is still very scary, I hope that everyone must pay attention to screening in daily life and stay away from it!
