The Thousand Buddha Cave, located halfway up the Yangtian Mountain, is about 100 meters away from the Buddha Guang Cliff on the upper left, along the guardrail stone steps, like a ladder to the sky, one side against the slope, the other side is the Wanzhang Cliff.

The Thousand Buddha Cave, the front of the cave enshrines Buddha Rulai and two bodhisattvas Manjushri and Puxian. There are 1,040 bronze Buddha statues on the four walls, and there are 3-meter-high statues of the four heavenly kings at the entrance of the cave. Whether in terms of height, volume or number of Buddha statues, Yangtianshan Thousand Buddha Cave is the world's first Buddha cave.
Thousand Buddha Cave is a natural cave, the cave is several zhang high, dozens of zhang deep, there are hundreds of Buddha niches on the four walls, more than a thousand Buddha statues, exquisite and realistic, so it is called the Thousand Buddha Cave. In summer and autumn, the cave is often filled with clouds and mist, also known as "White Cloud Cave".
Coming to the cave, looking up at the sky, there is a natural stone crack at the top of the cave to see a line of sky, "a trick through the sky, the sky shines", Yangtian Mountain got its name.
On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, looking at the sky in the cave, you can see the silver plate hanging high, the dazzling moonlight reflects the entrance of the cave, and the high cave wall is silver-white, and the scenery is very spectacular.
It is said that standing in this position and looking up at the sky, you can see a full moon every time you go to the mid-autumn of Koshi year, and the scenery is very spectacular, so there is a verse that "the autumn moon is full hanging high in the sky".
During the day, the sunlight shines through the top into the cave, like a golden pillar of light, which is very beautiful. At night, the moonlight penetrates through the hole, like a shimmering band of light, which has a special flavor.
