Affected by various influences such as human activities, more and more species on the earth are on the verge of extinction. On the U.S. Endangered Species List, the following endangered species are recorded.
There are 195 Ocelots remaining (it is estimated that less than 100 are wild in the United States, and 95 are kept in captivity). Due to human development, wild ocelots have disappeared throughout the United States except Texas. This elusive cat has signs of activity in the wilderness of South and Central America.
[Seaside Grey Sparrow] has disappeared. The coastal grey finch went extinct almost unnoticed by humans. It is mainly distributed on Merritt Island in Florida, USA. As a result of their salt marsh habitat being sprayed with DDT and requisitioned by the space program, their numbers have dropped from about 3,000 pairs to zero.
The pygmy rabbit became extinct in 2008, a few months after this photo was taken. While the species still exists, the unique genetic populations of the Columbia Basin are gone. The conversion of their habitat to farmland is a direct cause of their drastic decline. Environmentalists hope that the breeding program will rescue some of the genes.
2,400 remaining Puerto Crested Toads (estimated to be about 500 to 2,000 in the wild, 400 in captivity)
[Tassel Campion] aka Iron Vine, there are 10,700 surviving trees (estimated 5500 to 10,700). Tassel Campion is a true forest habitat specialist that requires very high soil, chemical and light conditions to thrive, with only 37 areas of Florida and Georgia meeting its requirements.
700 flower-faced quails (almost extinct in the wild, about 700 in captivity). The flower-faced quail is a small, short-tailed hunting bird that looks like a partridge, but is smaller than a partridge and not as robust as a partridge, preferring to inhabit vast grasslands and bushes, where its main diet is seeds, berries, and sometimes leaves, grass roots, and insects.
[Santa Catalina Island Fox] only 572 left.
About 4,100 (estimated 3,500 in the wild and 600 in captivity). It lives only in the tributary of a river in the southern United States and is accustomed to swimming against the current. The current breeding goal is to re-establish a population of this fish, which was almost extinct more than a hundred years ago.
There are less than 1,000 Drissandri flower flies. This is the Delhi Sands fly, which likes to chase flowers, and has been listed on the endangered species list. It took the photographer 3 months to get a capture permit, shoot it, and put it back in the dunes of California, its habitat. The entire process lasted about 20 minutes and was conducted entirely under the supervision of three biologists from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
2,100 Hawaiian geese (estimated 2,000 in the wild, 100 in captivity).

[Chirikawa Leopard Frog] It is estimated that there are still 5,000 adult frogs.
