Skidding technical specifications

1 Jump Fiber Content Steps:

Step 1: Identify the optical intersection and the machine room, and find the splitter.

Step 2: Identify the splitter number.

Step 3: Locate the splitter port configured on the ticket.

Step 4: Find the port that reaches the user's fiber optic cable core sequence.

Step 5: Jump from the splitter port to the user cable port.

2 Basic knowledge and specifications of jump fiber:

1) The skid fiber operation must meet the principles of ODF frame, light cross, comprehensive box neatness, beautiful wiring, easy operation, and less space.

2) The length of the skid fiber must be mastered within the range of 500mm.

3) The skid fiber with insufficient length shall not be used, and the flange disc shall not be allowed to connect the two segments of the skid fiber.

4) Each jumping fiber should ensure that the radius of curvature around the place is greater than 400mm.

5) General requirements for walking fiber:

(1) For the optical fiber that is traced up, the outer side of the ODF frame should be lowered, the disc fiber column with the most suitable amount of residual fiber should be selected, and the fiber should be walked up on the inside of the ODF frame, horizontally on the lower edge of the ODM, and vertically up to the corresponding terminal.

(2) A jump fiber is only allowed to walk up once in the ODF frame (along the outside of the ODF frame), once up (along the inside of the ODF frame), walk a disc fiber column, it is strictly forbidden to wind, cross and hang between multiple disc fiber columns, that is, there must be no fiber winding on the upper edge of each disc fiber column.

(4) All skid fibers must be deployed inside the ODF frame, and it is strictly forbidden to deploy outside the frame, flying wire and other phenomena.

3 Skipping fiber type and length control

1) According to the splitter and the flange head on the fiber splitter, select the corresponding jump fiber (SC-SC, FC-FC, SC-FC)

2) The jump fiber from the splitter to the user's optical cable, the length of the remaining length is controlled within 50CM, and the tail fiber of 1 meter, 2 meters, 2 meters 5 and 3 meters is generally selected.

3) The ONU and fiber optic terminal jump fiber in the user terminal box generally use 50CM short tail fiber.

4 Skid label management and specification

1) All skid labels must be labeled with the machine, and handwriting is not allowed.

2) In the computer room, optical intersection, and corridor, both ends of the splitter to the user's leather cable need to be labeled.

3) The effect after completion is: unified specification length, gap according to terminal position, labels are not staggered and stacked.

4) The front side is the name of the optical path, and the reverse side is the optical path code and the bar code, facing the unification.

5) The change text droops with the tail and naturally faces upwards.

5 Perform the necessary optical path tests

After the completion of each section of optical path skid fiber, a test is required, and the test steps are as follows:

1) Test the beam splitter outlet with a light work instrument at 1490 wavelength, and the optical power should be less than -22dB.

2) The user side uses the wavelength of the light power instrument 1490 for testing, the optical receiving power should be less than -23dB, and the maximum sensitivity of ONU is generally -24dB.

3) Use ONU equipment to debug the Internet for users.

4) If there is no light received, it can be judged whether it is wrong fiber through the visible light source (red light).

5) If there is no wrong fiber but still no light, when the living loss is large, ONU cannot work normally, and the optical cable maintenance department can be informed to deal with it.

6 Resource management

It is strictly forbidden to change the order of the fiber distribution of the construction order without authorization, and the installation and transfer maintenance process needs to change the optical path resources, record the relevant information of the optical path on the work order, and timely feedback to the resource department for update.

Skipping considerations

1 Types and uses of pigtails

According to the existing ODF rack and equipment port standards, jump fibers can be divided into the following types:

(1) According to the interface type: the pigtail interface can be divided into FC, SC, LC three interfaces, combined together at both ends are: FC-FC, SC-SC, LC-LC, FC-SC, FC-LC, SC-LC, a total of six fiber skipping types.

(2) According to the length of the interface: the tail fiber has 1.5 meters, 2 meters, 3 meters, 5 meters, 10 meters, 15 meters, 20 meters. The general ones we use are generally 3 meters, 5 meters, 10 meters, 15 meters and 20 meters.

(3) Uses: FC interface is used for ODF frame connection remote core; SC interface is used for ODF frame (less) and equipment, such as OLT and ONU device interface in EPON, photoelectric converter interface, etc.; LC interface is only used for the interface of the device. Two of the three core interfaces are combined to enable physical connectivity between ODF to ODF racks, ODF racks to devices, and devices to devices.

2 Preparations and precautions outside the site before jumping fiber:

Since before the jump fiber, it is generally according to the needs of the business, there will be a demand for jump fiber. But different needs, the jumping equipment is different, the preparation work that needs to be done is also different. Therefore, before the jump fiber, there must be a clear work idea, a clear work goal, otherwise, there will be a jump fiber without pairs or without a full situation, so that the work task can not be completed on time, the work goal can not be achieved on time, affecting the development of the company's business. Therefore, the preparation before the skid is crucial to the achievement of the work objectives. The preparation work outside the site is generally outside the computer room, and the following preparations need to be made, and finally there are matters that need attention.

1) Off-site preparation before jumping fiber:

(1) Work idea preparation: What is the purpose of the jump? What device needs to be jumped? What interface is the device? What type of skid fiber do I need? Do I need to prepare an optical module? Do you need additional tools? These are all things that need to be considered beforehand.

(2) Tool preparation: optical power meter (including test fiber), red light pen, tube sleeve, label paper, oil pen, notepad, pliers, electric tape.

(3) Material preparation: fiber hopper, optical module, the quantity, type or length of the corresponding material according to the needs.

(4) Disk information preparation: If it is the interconnection between different computer rooms, you need to understand the relevant information of the computer room disk surface and record it in the notepad.

2) Precautions outside the site before jumping fiber:

(1) If you need to bring a module, you should pay attention to the type, distance, wavelength and other parameters of the module;

(2) The fiber core should pay attention to the type and length of the interface, and pay attention to whether it is necessary to cross the cabinet, how far away the cabinets are, and whether it is necessary to take the wiring rack.

(3) Pay attention to the spare module and the jump fiber, at least one backup module and a corresponding pair of jump fibers.

3 Preparations in the field before the jump

(1) Untie the pigtail tape, unfold the two pigtails separately, fully unfold, the same interface is together, straighten out and tie the two jump fibers together with electric tape;

(2) If it is a fiber core that jumps to a different machine room, you can first contact the colleagues in the remote computer room by phone to test whether the pigtail can be used normally, whether the ODF frame plate surface is wrong, and test whether the cable light wear and tear is normal; if the equipment in the machine room where the site is interconnected, connect the relevant equipment, and test whether the tail fiber can be used normally;

(3) Use a notepad to copy down the serial number, length and type of core of the module to be used to facilitate asset management.

4 Precautions for the scene in the skid fiber

(1) There are three situations when jumping: the same cabinet jump, adjacent cabinet jump and cross cabinet jump. The difference is that the tailstock across the cabinet should be protected by a casing when crossing the cabinet, and the patch panel should be taken by the patch panel.

(2) When the pigtail is connected, one end of the fiber core is connected to the device, and the other end is wired from the left side of the cabinet facing the cabinet, and the excess pigtail is wound into a circle (not stacked into a straight line), and wrapped with electric tape; then the other end is connected to the device or the ODF frame, and the ODF frame is entered from the left side of the ODF frame, and the phenomenon of flying wire cannot occur.

(3) After jumping the core, the label paper should be attached and labeled according to the naming requirements.

(4) After the label is typed, it is necessary to do a good job in the registration of the use of the ODF frame core, such as jumping the trunk core, the use of the trunk core (the end of the label paper, the end of the information), and recorded with a notepad.

(5) Collect the protective cap of the module and the pigtail and put it in the small box at the bottom of the cabinet for later use.

5 Finishing work after skidding:

Before leaving the computer room:

(1) Contact relevant colleagues to test whether the core has been passed and whether the jumping target has been completed;

(2) Confirm the successful completion of the skid fiber work, sort out the on-site tools, and clean up the garbage such as the pigtail packaging bag to keep the environment of the machine room clean;

(3) Turn off the lights in the computer room, check again whether there is anything left in the computer room, and pay attention to locking the door when leaving.
