How many kinds of life are there in the world? Shakyamuni believed that all beings are immeasurable. How many forms does life have? A sentence from the Diamond Sutra gives the answer. The Diamond Sutra says, "All beings are born if they are eggs, if they are viviparous, if they are wet, if they are incarnated."
Let's take a look at what viviparous, oviparous, wet, and metaplasia mean?
1. Viviparous.
The so-called viviparity means that those born from the womb are viviparous, and also known as wombs. Like people, elephants, horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, etc., such as those born from the mother's womb, are viviparous, according to modern people, mammals are actually viviparous.
2. Oviparous.
Oviparous is actually very easy to understand, that is, from the egg, the egg shell out of the egg is oviparous, the most common around us is the water life fish, as well as chickens, ducks, geese, finches, crows, magpies, peacocks, snakes, etc., such beings belong to oviparous.
3. Wet life.

4. Metaplasia.
