"There's a little bird here that's wet from the rain and looks weak, so please send rescuers to see it as soon as possible!" Recently, Mr. Xu of Qihe Village in Bottle Kiln Town dialed the 110 help phone, he informed the staff that he picked up a bird outside, suspected of protecting animals, and then the 110 platform immediately linked the Yuhang District Forestry and Water Bureau, and the duty personnel immediately assigned a third-party rescue unit to the Hangzhou Yuhang District Damei Forestry Service Center to send personnel to the rescue.

After the wildlife rescue personnel drove to the scene, they preliminarily confirmed that the wild bird was a horned owl, a national second-level protected animal. The little horned owl was not injured, may not have eaten for many days in the rain, and his physique was weak, because he accidentally fell out of the nest because of heavy rain, and the fluff on his whole body was wet, and he fortunately met Mr. Xu when he was lonely and helpless. After Mr. Xu's careful care, the little horned owl returned to its cute and furry appearance. Rescuers brought it back and fed it fresh meat and water, and when the horned owl recovered, they could be released back into nature.

Horned owl, belonging to the small bird of prey of the owl family, is a national second-class protected animal, mainly feeding on insects, rodents and birds, the whole body is mostly gray-brown, black-brown spots, with ear protrusions on the head, and the legs are feathered to the base of the toes. According to rescuers, wild birds are protected animals, such as encountering young birds that fall on the ground, try not to intervene artificially, its parents (parent birds) are nearby, after a break will test fly again, but if you find stray dogs, cats nearby, you can help transfer the young birds to the nearest, relatively hidden and safe place or ask professional ambulance personnel to rescue.
