Hohhot, 1 Sep (China News Network) -- On 1 September, Gao Sheng, former member of the party committee and deputy general manager of the Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group Co., Ltd., was suspected of accepting bribes and tried in public at the first instance trial of the Helinger County People's Court.

The public prosecution alleged that the defendant Gao Sheng took advantage of his position as a member of the Standing Committee, director of the office, director of the organization department, deputy flag chief, and deputy secretary of the Flag Committee of the Arong Banner Committee, deputy secretary of the Chen BalHu Banner Committee, flag chief, secretary of the Flag Committee, and director of the Standing Committee of the Flag People's Congress, secretary and director of the party leading group of the Hulunbuir City Development and Reform Commission, and member and deputy director of the party committee and deputy director of the Inner Mongolia Daxinganling Key State-owned Forestry Management Bureau, to provide assistance to relevant companies and individuals in such areas as job promotion, project contracting, and project payment settlement. Illegally accepting property from others amounts to more than 25 million yuan, and shall be investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of accepting bribes in accordance with law.
