On April 21, the "First Ultra-Internet New Computing Power Industry and the 3rd China IDC Industry DISCOVERY Conference", co-hosted by Zhongguancun Ultra-connected New Infrastructure Industry Innovation Alliance and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Big Data Research Institute, and undertaken by VNET and Internet Technology, was successfully concluded in Beijing. Zheng Weimin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, pointed out in his speech that AI computing power is an important part of computing power infrastructure and a key task for new infrastructure construction and the national "East Data and West Computing" project. It is estimated that by 2025, the total amount of AI computing power in mainland China will exceed 1800EFlops, and AI computing power will account for more than 85% of the total computing power. At the conference, Chen Sheng, chairman of Zhongguancun Ultra-connected New Infrastructure Industry Innovation Alliance, systematically elaborated the blueprint of "ultra-interconnected new computing power", which not only fits the strategy of "building digital China", but also brings new ideas to the development of the industry. The so-called ultra-interconnected new computing power is a distributed computing power network with universal benefits built and operated by everyone participation, everyone construction, everyone operation, and everyone ownership on the new information infrastructure integrated with the chain network. Based on the vision of "City as a Computer", the new computing power of hyper-interconnection will not only weave a computing power network on the chessboard of "East Data and West Computing", but also drive the development of computing power chips, AI technology, communication networks, green energy and other related high-end industrial clusters.

Dou Dejing, partner and director of Boston Consulting Group, chief data scientist in China and adjunct professor of electronic engineering at Tsinghua University, said that although there are still shortcomings in the current technical implementation, he is still optimistic about the market size and application of generative AI.

Luo Jinhai, CEO of the quantum school, believes that computing power is a low-entropy body, an ordered arrangement of particles, and a canonical quantum field. From the perspective of the development stage of computing power, 2140 will be the limit year of computing power.
