According to a number of Brazilian media reports, the 31-year-old former Guangzhou Evergrande player Gaulart decided to retire, a decision that is likely to be finally announced this Friday this Friday. Gaulart was previously successfully naturalized by Guangzhou Evergrande, but after leaving China, it was reported that Gaulart wanted to restore his Brazilian citizenship.
Goulart moved from Baja giants Cruzeiro to Guangzhou Evergrande in early 2015 and became the champion of the Chinese Super League for a time. At Guangzhou Evergrande, Gaulart replaced Conca as the king of celestial bodies, helping Guangzhou Evergrande win the Chinese Super League championship in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons and the AFC Champions League in the 2015 season.
In the 2019 season, Gaulart was loaned back to the Baja Liga, and with the opening of the naturalization of the Chinese Super League, in mid-2019, Gaulart returned to China after his loan and was naturalized by Evergrande.
