According to foreign media "TMZ", Erik Cowie, a zookeeper who works for the protagonist "Joe Exotic" in "Tiger King" and appears many times in the show, was found by friends at his home in New York on Friday, and when he found the body, he was face down and there were no other traumas under his body.

According to the police, no suspicious items were found at the scene, and Eric did not have drugs around him, but in order to clarify the cause of death, toxicology tests were still done. Eric was suspected of having smoked methamphetamine because of his rotten teeth.

But he said that the tooth problem was due to his old age, and after the show aired, he also "sorted" his teeth. Eric admits that he is often considered a drug addict because of his appearance, but he firmly states that he does not, but admits that he has a bad habit of drinking.

As a zookeeper in Tiger King, he stayed on to his post even after Exotic Joe was imprisoned, in fact, it was because of his testimony that Exotic Joe was abusing animals that prompted him to serve his sentence. Eric had been away from Oklahoma, where the Tiger King Zoo was located, for some time before his death.
