Apple TV+ today announced a new special documentary on 9/11 that will restore the exact timeline of the President of the United States in the hours following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in New York. The documentary will debut on Apple TV+ and BBC One in September to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that profoundly impacted the world.
Apple said the documentary, which features Emmy award-winning Jeff Daniels, recounts the 12 hours after the attack, provides a rare and unique insight into the plight of key decision-makers who respond to the United States.
Apple said the documentary will feature former U.S. President George W. Bush. W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State Colin Powell and others have testified from public air, and it will also show nearly 200 previously unpublished photographs, as well as more captured archives.
