With the Yuan Gong Dike, there is the growth, development and prosperity of Hanzheng Street in the dike. Finally, the street: in the third year of the reign of Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, that is, in 1864 AD, Hankou built a castle and built a trench outside the Yuan Gong Embankment, one to prevent "Kou" and the other to prevent floods. After Hankou had a castle, the Yuan Gong embankment lost its flood control effect, and some residents built houses on both sides of the embankment, gradually forming a street market almost parallel to Hanzheng Street with the embankment as the axis.
In order to leave some memories of old Wuhan for himself, he made several special trips to Long Beach Street to paint this group of paintings with ink before it was about to disappear.
