According to CNN, South Korean pop singer Jin Shaoqing (Sowon) apologized through his agency team for previously posting photos of dolls in Nazi costumes.
Sowon, who is reportedly a member of the South Korean girl group GFriend, has removed photos previously posted on Instagram. Source Music said in a Feb. 1 statement that Sowon was "so shocked and immediately deleted the photo."

"We apologize for not being able to scrutinize the inappropriate props on set, for not being able to filter them out thoroughly when filming and uploading, and for not paying enough attention to historical facts and the social issues associated with them." The company reportedly responded, "We apologize for the offensive bow that the video and stills brought." ”
The company also reportedly mentioned that the photo was taken in a restaurant last November, where "GFriend" was recording.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that Korean stars have made similar mistakes. In November 2018, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, an internationally renowned Jewish rights organization, accused the South Korean idol group Bulletproof Youth League of "mocking history" and demanded an apology for a member posing next to the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin wearing a "Nazi hat." To this end, the company of the Bulletproof Youth League issued a letter of apology to the organization, saying that the "Nazi hat" was provided by the relevant media and that the Bulletproof Youth League "does not support all totalitarianism, including the Nazis", which is purely due to the company's failure to "fully test" in advance.
