On October 21, the "1+X" - 2021 Academic Nomination Exhibition of the School of Plastic Arts of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts was opened. Crossover works by six young teachers from the School of Plastic Arts of the university will be exhibited on the spot, and the exhibition will last until November 15.
It is understood that the "1 + X" - 2021 Academic Nomination Exhibition of the School of Plastic Arts is an exhibition project of Chuanmei College of Plastic Arts to promote the self-development and renewal of the teacher team and collect works for all teachers. The exhibition is carried out in the form of "6 juxtaposed spaces + 6 groups of dialogues", that is, "1 + X", and exhibits the works of 6 young teachers such as Feng Luxu, Liu Haichen, Liu Yanyao, Lou Jin, Ma Ting, Ma Lili and so on.
"'1' is a work in the language of the profession, and 'X' is a work created in a cross-border language." Wei Jia, curator of the exhibition, vice dean of the School of Plastic Arts and head of the Department of Printmaking, introduced.
The reporter saw that in order to show the creativity of "X", Feng Lu, associate professor of the Sculpture Department of the College, in addition to displaying his own sculpture works, also moved a golden elevator car with a slit into the exhibition hall and named it "Peeping" for display; Sculpture teacher Lou Jin's work "Moving Mountains" is made of concrete into the shape of mountains, and the use of a trolley is pushed directly from the production factory to the exhibition hall; Liu Yanyao, a teacher in the Department of Printmaking, used the mobile phone video materials taken by her daughter to produce a single-frequency color series of video works of "Mom, That's a Butterfly"... The cross-border exploration of the teachers made the students who watched the exhibition call "fresh".
"Considering the openness of the works collected in this exhibition, we invited experts from inside and outside the university to select 6 finalists from among the artists who applied for the exhibition after 3 rounds of selection, and then after a six-month creative period, we presented the exhibition to everyone." Wang Tianxiang, general secretary of the party branch and vice president of the College of Plastic Arts, said that he hopes that through such exhibitions, he will promote the iteration and reengineering of artistic creation language and help young teachers grow up as soon as possible.
