South Korean artists Yoo Ya-jin and Jeon Jong-sui were nominated for Best Actor and Actress at the 15th Asian Film Awards.
Co-founded by the Busan International Film Festival, the Hong Kong International Film Festival and the Tokyo International Film Festival, the Asian Film Awards was shortlisted for 36 films from eight Asian countries and regions this year, including seven from South Korea. Liu Yaren and Jeon Jong-sui were nominated for this year's Best Actor and Actress for "Silent" and "Telephone", respectively, and Korean film director Lee Joon-yee was nominated for Best Director for "Zishan Fish Recipe". In addition, Korean film director Lee Cangdong served as the chairman of this year's jury.
The 15th Asian Film Awards will be held on October 8 in Busan, South Korea.
