The young winger has not played much since arriving at Old Trafford, making just nine first-team appearances for Manchester United, with Diallo scoring his first goal in the 2020-21 Europa League 1-1 home game at home to Milan, the only goal to date.
Diallo's excellent performances at Sunderland have impressed Ten Hag and he is expected to return to United's first team next season to secure a rotational position.
