This time I came to Macao, it is also the first time to go with a one-day group, in fact, Macao is not small at all, the attractions that can be visited in one day are only a drop in the bucket, and I don't have time to take a closer look. Macau is really not suitable for tours, because most of the old towns need to walk, and it feels better to walk around by yourself.
Since the complete lifting of the lockdown, Macau has really exploded, popular attractions have gathered many tourists, the Ruins of St. Paul's during the epidemic can no longer photograph empty mirrors, and the "Time Shuttle" memorial hall has been built behind the archway, retaining its characteristics as a Catholic church. The pink love alley is also overcrowded, or it is more convenient for people to go to the empty Fisherman's Wharf.
Due to the group itinerary, I learned under the guidance of the tour guide that the Macao Museum has an elevator to go directly up the mountain, and there is no need to climb the mountain to the fortress! Walking through the historic district is a feeling, and many of the ramps in the old town are the brainchild of Portuguese colonists, reminiscent of their distant hometown.

If you want to go to Guanye Street to eat food, get off at Paijiao Station in the old town, the light rail can be taken using Macao Pass, or you can go to the window to buy a one-way ticket with WeChat Alipay, 6 Australian dollars in 3 stations, and then charge according to the section, up to 10 Australian dollars.
At present, the time between the two trains is still relatively long, and it is said that the Macao Light Rail has planned several lines, with routes to the Macao Peninsula and Zhuhai Hengqin, so that it will be more convenient to play in Macao in the future! Before I came to Macau, I often took the fortune car to shuttle between the resorts, but in fact, the local public transportation in Macau is also very convenient! It's so much more cost-effective than a taxi!
Pai Kok / Cotai / Kwan Ye Street
More than 100 years of colonial history has made Macao different from other cities, where various cultures have blended and now has grown into a unique appearance. Originally, I thought that the old town was only on the Macao Peninsula, but in fact, Taipa, known as the "Macao New District", also has many unique old houses, all of which were built in the colonial period, and are now popular cultural and tourist districts Kwan Ye Street and Dragon Circle! There are Portuguese-style buildings, ancient temples, and Macanese dishes that have been in place for many years, and Michelin medals hang on an entire wall!
The Cotai History Museum is a must-see attraction in the old town of Taipa, the history museum building is a social science history museum, the building of the history museum was formerly known as the Island City City Hall Building, the Cotai History Museum is a two-storey building, divided into nine exhibition rooms, with a clasp to display the historical changes and residents' life of Cotai. The number of collections exceeds 1,800 pieces, and important collections include the stone tablets of the Sanpo Temple, incense hoardings and cadastral maps. On the ground floor, there is also a screening area, called the "Light Corridor", which shows documentaries on the theme of Cotai, the content of which changes regularly, and can also host museum events, special lectures or special exhibitions.
Recently, Macau travel has been very popular, and several Internet celebrity shops on Guanye Street have all lined up in long lines, and this time because of the tour guide's introduction, I learned that there was originally a horizontal sliding elevator from the old town, which can easily lead to the Venetian Resort!
