Wan Lijun, chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He expressed the hope that everyone will further give play to the unique advantages and roles of overseas Chinese compatriots, integrate China and foreign countries, coordinate development, blaze new trails, and traction linkage, be friendly messengers to promote Sino-foreign communication and exchanges and create a good external environment for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, be a new force to promote China's opening up to the outside world at a higher level, be the forerunner of actively adapting to the changes in China's economic development stage, and be the vanguard of smooth domestic and international double circulation.
Since the beginning of this year, Fujian Province has reached a large number of overseas Chinese businessmen and overseas Chinese intellectual cooperation projects, including 102 contract projects and 56 agreement projects, with a total investment of 181.3 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), involving electronic information, equipment manufacturing, new energy and new materials, marine economy, cultural tourism and health, digital industry and other fields. 30 projects were signed on site at the meeting.
Shanghai Junhe Group Co., Ltd. signed a contract with the Minhou County Government to build a "Houguan Intelligent Town" in Minhou and build an intelligent manufacturing industry and a modern service industry agglomeration area, with a planned investment of 10 billion yuan.
Sijunzi Classical Furniture Group Company plans to invest 200 million yuan to build an overseas Chinese cultural and creative industry park in Putian. According to Chen Yushu, chairman of Fiji Returned Overseas Chinese and Four Gentlemen Classical Furniture (Group) Co., Ltd., the park will create a gathering area for overseas Chinese and Chinese artists and integrate into the global cultural and artistic innovation chain.
Xu Rongmao, Xie Guomin, Chen Jianghe, Lin Hongxiu, Wu Huaxin, Zheng Limou, and other representatives of overseas Chinese businessmen spoke at the meeting. Xu Rongmao said that Fujian's business environment is superior, and he believes that this activity is a "rallying call" that can unite the strength of overseas Chinese and make new contributions.
Five working platforms were landed during the conference, namely overseas Chinese Business Xingmin Fund, Fucha Network Overseas Promotion Center, Xiamen Haichuang Industry Research Institute, International Medical Department of Fujian Medical University Affiliated Binhai Hospital, and entrepreneurship and employment service platform for Chinese youth and overseas students, which will further deepen the service for overseas Chinese.
