Model Brenda Partya recently announced that she had given birth to a daughter, but the arrival of the baby did not help ease her relationship with the child's father, tennis star Alexander Zverev. Partya announced last year that she was pregnant with the German's child, though the couple had parted ways and broke up less than 12 months after dating.
The model shared a photo of her holding the child's hand on Instagram and wrote: "On March 11th, we were lucky to welcome Mara." She also shared a video of herself with Mara at a Berlin hospital. As of press time, Zverev had not responded to the news on social media.
Zverev is currently preparing for the Mexico Open, which will begin on Monday, after which he will travel to the United States for the Miami Open. The world number seven player said last November that he was very much looking forward to becoming a father. In an interview with reporters, he said: "Everything is fine inside and outside the field. Everything in my life has been fantastic and I'm going to be a dad soon. Even though Brenda and I are no longer together, we have a good relationship and I will fulfill my responsibilities as a father. Together we will take care of this little one who is about to grow up. ”
Last year, however, Partya expressed doubts about the role Zverev would play in the child's life, telling The German newspaper Bild: "We have not had any communication with him at this time and frankly, I am not going to share custody of the child with him." But I will do everything I can to make sure that [the child] grows up in a harmonious and appropriate environment. I had the opportunity to raise my children alone. ”
Patja detailed the reasons for her breakup with Zverev, who found her in October 2019 at a coffee shop in Paris and began their relationship. She said: "We had crises before and then broke up. Because we have a different view of life. All those who are with athletes must obey these conditions. ”
In 2020, Patya announced her pregnancy on social media, adding: "There's magic in every start. This is the magical beginning of a new life in my heart. I can't put into words what it feels like to be pregnant, it's an irresistible feeling. Being a mother filled me with great joy, but it also made me a little scared. Those who are already pregnant may feel the same way. Over the past few weeks, I've experienced some moments of sadness and joy, and then some uncertain situations because my child was born in a stormy era. But no matter what we will face, I will love my child and protect him until the end of my life. I'm already the happiest mom in the world, and I'm so happy to share that happiness with you! ”
Zverev's complex relationship with Patya came under the spotlight as he adamantly denied allegations of domestic violence against him by another ex-girlfriend, Olga Sharipova. Olga once accused Zverev of almost killing her, strangling her neck with a pillow, pulling her hair against a wall, and nearly breaking one of her arms.
Faced with many accusations such as flower lovers, domestic violence men, sadism, etc., the "scumbag" Zverev has not lost his way, and the various gossip news about him has never stopped, it can be said that this gentleman is indeed a good hand of male and female love, but it limits his tennis talent.
