01 Whampoa Military Academy Site Memorial Hall
The first stop on the red Cheung Chau is, of course, the Whampoa Military Academy Memorial Hall. A few days ago, the Memorial Hall of the Former Site of the Whampoa Military Academy was officially rated as a national 4A-level tourist scenic spot.
The Memorial Hall of the Former Site of Whampoa Military Academy is the only memorial hall that protects the historical and cultural buildings of Whampoa Military Academy and displays the development history of Whampoa Military Academy as the core content.
The memorial hall built by the headquarters of the Whampoa Military Academy largely preserves and restores the teaching and living environment of the military academy in those years.

02 Baihegang Fort
Not far from the memorial hall of the former site of the Whampoa Military Academy, there is the largest and most complete fort on the island - Baihegang Fort.
The Baihegang Fort retains an underground roadway of more than 40 meters, which connects three "underground" gun emplacements, as well as ammunition depots and soldiers' barracks.
This fort, which has passed through nearly a hundred years of beacon fire and stands firmly at the mouth of the river, has survived the baptism of time and is still standing tall today.

03 Monument to the Martyrs of the Northern Expedition
Walking the third stop of Red Cheung Chau, we headed to the Northern Expedition Martyrs' Monument.
Under the cover of green pines and cypresses in Pinggang, there is a granite monument, which is a monument erected to commemorate the Northern Expedition War "Whampoa Military Academy students born in the Northern Expedition".
Walk up the long stairs, read the inscriptions on the monument, remember the revolutionary martyrs, and remember the revolutionary spirit.

04 Tomb of the Martyrs of the Eastern Crusade
From the Northern Expedition Martyrs' Monument, there is also a red site that remembers the martyrs that must be visited - that is, the Tomb of the Martyrs of the Eastern Crusade.
The Cemetery for the Fallen Martyrs of the Eastern Crusade was officially completed on June 16, 1926, and contains 516 Whampoa soldiers who died heroically in the two crusades, the suppression of the Yang-Liu Rebellion and the Shaji Massacre.
In the cemetery, there is also a separate martyr's tomb - Cai Guangju Martyr's Tomb, which was built to commemorate the martyr Cai Guangju, the "first person who died at Whampoa Military Academy" and the first student of Whampoa Military Academy.

05 Hai Revolution Memorial Hall & Zhongshan Park
The last stop on the hike came to the Xinhai Revolution Memorial Hall and Zhongshan Park.
The Xinhai Revolution Memorial Museum has a large collection of precious historical relics, including the cipher code copy carried by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the founding commemorative coin of the "Republic of China" and other genuine items.
After visiting the Xinhai Revolution Memorial Hall, head to the adjacent Zhongshan Park. Follow the trail of the park to enjoy the spring scenery, taste famous quotes, watch migratory birds, and reminisce about this Cheung Chau red tour in the beautiful natural ecological environment.
