What are some of the famous bugs in the Minecraft world? This is not something we say casually, but the official Mojang developers revealed some of the most memorable examples of bugs turned into features in many releases!

Bugs made out of nothing!
Jeb once explained that this bug is that players are sometimes surprised to find that they suddenly have a lot of extra items out of thin air in Minecraft. This is because earlier versions of Minecraft did not yet command this kind of thing that can generate items, so in order to test new blocks and items, developers will directly modify player generation data, which means that developers can see new items by logging into the game when testing. Later, when the official version was released, Mojang forgot to delete this string of codes, so each player was born with some new items "out of nothing".
Later, this earliest feature remained, which is today's Creative Mode inventory. Normally, new items in new versions are added to the creation inventory, although some items can only be called up with commands.

From BUG to BUD!
The 2009 Notch project called two magic blocks, a block called "Pulley1" that could be used to pull a block, and "Pulley2" that could push a block. But ideas are ideas, and Notch never implemented them.
Later, Jeb joined Mojang and introduced a "piston" concept in 2011, saying that the code of the piston was not actually from Jeb's hand, but from a mod in the official Minecraft forum community, the author of the mod, Hippoplatimus, gave the piston code to Jeb, and Jeb used this code to implement the piston in Minecraft.
However, after all, the piston was not developed by Jeb himself, and it was found that the piston always had problems, many strange problems, such as the piston can be activated in a lot of strange ways. For example, a piston can be activated at the same time when a block above or diagonally above it receives a redstone signal and activates.
What's even stranger is that there are times when the piston should have been activated, but instead the piston was not activated because it did not receive the block update. Only when certain game events are generated that cause the surrounding blocks to update, such as ice melting into water, blocks being placed, crops growing, tripwire triggering, etc., finally successfully triggering the activation of the piston. This strange bug eventually led to the birth of the trigger circuit in Minecraft, or BUD. Since then, BUG has become BUD!

Generate a village on the sea!
The birth of the floating village is a rare update, but this update is more interesting because of an interesting bug. During a regular optimization exploration of the game by the Bedrock Edition developers, a village was accidentally spawned on the sea. But Tommaso, the developer at the time, didn't immediately remove the bug, instead turning the village road into a plank. Thus the feasibility of the sea village was born.

Gravity Cube - Collapsed sand and gravel!
When sand and gravel first joined Minecraft, an idea was born to add gravity to it. The idea was to let sand or gravel spawn on top of a cave, and then block loads and they automatically collapsed and leaked out of the cave below.
Unfortunately, this idea is too difficult to implement, and the sand bugs can only be at the top of the cave and will not fall. Eventually, Mojang decided to add some dust particles to the air, meaning it could collapse at any moment. Of course, if you accidentally activate these sands or gravel hanging above the top, a landslide can happen at any time!

Classic case!
The story of the pig and the creeper: Before the creeper had the name creeper and green skin, it was actually just a deformed pig standing in strange proportions. Instead of removing the weird mutant creature, Notch eventually made it a mascot.
Glowing Enchantment Table: In early development of the 2015 Pocket Edition, developer Tommaso added the Enchantment Table, but unexpected Enchantment Tables glow. Later, the developers said in the community that the bug would not be fixed and added to Minecraft as an interesting feature. This is also considered to be the main event of the BUG=feature meme.
