Shi Xiaojie, a native of Beijing, was born in 1951 and is the leader of the rap troupe of the China Coal Mine Literary and Labor Troupe.
In 1968, 17-year-old Shi Xiaojie joined the team in Shaanxi, and later in Shanxi and Inner Mongolia.
In 1978, at the age of 27, Shi Xiaojie returned to Beijing and then studied with Gao Yuanjun and began a professional cross-talk career. He has successively worked in the Beijing Youth Cultural and Labor Troupe, the Kunming Military Region Cultural and Labor Troupe, and the China Railway Cultural and Labor Troupe Rap Troupe. Because of Hou Yaowen's reasons, he applied to be transferred to the China Coal Mine Cultural and Labor Corps; Shi Xiaojie began to partner with Ding Guangquan.
In 1987, Shi Xiaojie bundled the humor and wit unique to cross-talk art with popular songs, and borrowed from the performance method of Taiwanese singer Zhang Di who immediately sang, creating a unique art form of humorous singing. Subsequently, Shi Xiaojie held the "Comedy Star Shi Xiaojie Humor Concert" at the Beijing Exhibition Theater, which performed for nineteen consecutive performances and the venue was full. Since then, Shi Xiaojie has toured the country with a total of 500 performances. Hundreds of media across the country followed and reported that Shi Xiaojie quickly became popular throughout the country. Now it is said that Guo Degang and Deyun She are bull forks, but look at Shi Xiaojie, he became popular 15 years earlier than Guo Degang and began a national tour. From this point of view, It is not an exaggeration to say that Shi Xiaojie is Guo Degang's predecessor.
Shi Xiaojie also has one point that can be used as Guo Degang's predecessor, that is, Shi Xiaojie's mouth is broken, shaking the sun, and others have also given him a "son of the old cannon in Beijing". Some people say that tying Guo Degang and Yu Qian together is not shi Xiaojie. Shi Xiaojie opened a humorous concert that year, the national audience asked questions on the spot, and he changed his words and sang on the spot, all relying on improvisation on the spot.
In the same year, Shi Xiaojie released four albums of "Park Storm", "Jigong New Biography", "Late Break", and "Laughing Star Shi Xiaojie Singing Red Sun"; of which "Jigong New Biography" released 1.5 million plates, a tray with 6 yuan, creating a miracle in the tape distribution market at that time, Shi Xiaojie counted money and had cramps; Shi Xiaojie was the first million yuan household among cross-talk actors. After becoming popular, Shi Xiaojie made movies, acted in sketches, walked around, and then turned to the stock market, and won the title of "China's most stock-trading actor".
The humorous songs sung by Shi Xiaojie include "Welcome Song", "Downstairs", "Fat Man's Troubles", "Rich Taxi", "A Fire in Our House Last Night", "Park Storm", "Jigong New Biography", "Late Rest", "Unlucky Daddy", "Kanye is You", "Fired Squid" and more than 40 songs.
Shi Xiaojie seems to be addicted to singing, and he also holds the guitar when he talks about crosstalk. Where could Ding Guangquan, as a disciple of Hou Baolin, see such a strange type of crosstalk? After Shi Xiaojie became the head of the coal mine cultural and labor regiment, Ding Guangquan applied for transfer, and the two have since cracked.
In 1986, Shi Xiaojie won the third prize in the first CCTV Cross-Talk Invitational Competition.
In 2002, Shi Xiaojie won the second Quyi Peony Cup Award (Quyi Performance Award).
In 2019, Shi Xiaojie served as the general director of the Chinese Political Spring Festival Gala.
Shi Xiaojie created and performed the cross-talk "Song of the Six Strings", "Ping-Pong", "Whistle Card Song", "Breaking Wealth and Finding Disasters", "Making Money Without a Way", "Getting Rich and Having Skills" and so on.
