During the Wei and Jin dynasties, many famous families appeared. For example, the Wang family and Xie family known as "Wang Xie Tang Qianyan", the Cui family who is "the highest gate in the world and the head of the northern Hao family", and the Pingyang Jia family to be talked about in this article.
Pingyang is present-day Xiangfen, Shanxi, and the Jia clan is the local surname. By the time of the Han Huan and Ling emperors, the Jia family had declined. Jia Xi, who did not give up studying and was very knowledgeable, did not give full play to his talents in the social environment, so he lived in the countryside to educate his children and nephews in an attempt to revive his family. His grandson Jia Kui demonstrated amazing military talent, which boosted Jia Xi's confidence and said to Jia Kui: "Ru Da will be a general."
Sure enough, Jia Kui, who was young and poor, did not even have a pair of cotton pants to wear in winter, embarked on the road to the top. He was deeply supported by the people under his jurisdiction and made many combat achievements. Later, he became a famous minister of Cao Wei under the reigns of Cao Cao, Cao Pi, and Cao Ying III.
28 years after Jia Kui's death, his son Jia Chong turned his back on the Cao clan, which his father had faithfully served, killed the Wei emperor Cao Xin, and helped the Sima family usurp the Cao Wei imperial power, becoming the founding father of the Jin Dynasty.
Jia Chong's marriage can be made into a TV series alone, with ups and downs, he has two wives, the first wife is called Li Wan, a lady, beauty and talent, author of "The Commandment". Li Wan's brother was the colt of Princess Qi Chang, the daughter of the Weiming Emperor Cao Ying, and Li Wan's own conditions and family conditions were quite strong, and she was indeed a good match for Jia Chong at that time. Jia Chong also really loves Li Wan. However, the Li family misjudged the situation and wanted to kill Sima Shi. As a result, the incident leaked and killed. Li Feng was razed by the three tribes. Mrs. Li was implicated, and Jia Chong divorced Mrs. Li, and Mrs. Li was exiled. Before exile, Jia Chong and Mrs. Li parted. Jia said to Mrs. Li that "righteousness is the same as glue paint, the bandit's heart is unwavering, my heart is reached, and my heart is known", but the subsequent Jia Chong showed with practical actions that he did not "unwavering". Mrs. Li and Jia Chong have two daughters, Jia Zhao and Jia Huan. This Mrs. Li was not only a talented woman, but also taught her to be generous, and her daughter Jia Zhao later became the concubine of Sima Yuzheng, the king of Qi.
Li Wan
Jia Chong remarried Guo Huai, the daughter of Chengyang Taishou Guo Ping, who was also from the Guo family of a famous family in Yangqu, Shanxi (present-day Taiyuan, Shanxi), and his father was Guo Huai, a famous general of Cao Wei, and Guo Huai, a famous general of Cao Wei Chengyang. and Jia Chongsheng Jia Nanfeng and Jia Wu's second daughter. Just as a good mother has a good impact on her daughter's growth and happiness, a jealous and well-behaved mother can hardly protect her daughter from bad influences.
It is not an exaggeration to say that Guo Huai has a perverse personality. Her jealous personality directly killed her two biological sons. Guo Huai's eldest son, Jia Limin, saw Jia Chong teasing Li Min who was being held in his arms by the nursing mother, thinking that Jia Chong had an affair with the nursing mother, so he whipped the nursing mother, and as a result, Li Min died because he missed the nursing mother at the age of three. Soon gave birth to another son, just one year old, because Jia Chong touched the child in the nursing mother's arms, Guo Hui became suspicious again, killed the nursing mother, and the child died because he missed the nursing mother. After such a sad incident, Guo Huai has still not learned his lesson. Throughout her life, she maintained her jealous nature and passed it on to her daughter Jia Nanfeng.
After Sima Yan took the throne, he granted amnesty to the world, and Li Wan was able to return to Beijing, and Sima Yan also granted Jia Chong the left and right ladies, making Li Wan and Guo Huai the right wives, and Jia Chong's mother Liu Shi also hoped that her daughter-in-law would return soon. However, Guo Hui was deeply dissatisfied, believing that he was the one who assisted Jia Chong in achieving his career, and Li Wan should not be on an equal footing with her. Jia Chong was also afraid of Guo Huai and resigned the edict of the two ladies. At that time, Jia Zheng was already the concubine of Sima Yuzheng, the king of Qi, and held a high position, hoping that his father would divorce Guo Huai and welcome Li Wan back, but Jia Chong refused, only placing Li Wan in Yongnian, and did not communicate with each other, no matter how Jia Zhao and Jia Huan begged, Jia Chong ignored it. I don't know if Jia Chong is really afraid of Guo Huai, afraid of his mother's power, or out of true love. Of course, the possibility of true love is still relatively high, because killing two sons due to jealousy is actually quite a serious matter, but the powerful minister Jia Chong actually did not make peace with Guo Huai with the "good jealousy" article of "seven out" that began in the Han Dynasty. It can be seen that either true fear or true love.
Another thing can also show Jia Chong's concern for Guo Huai. Guo Huai had intended to visit Li Wan, but Jia Chong blocked her from going because he knew that Guo Hui was inferior to Li Wan. In order to fear that Guo Huai would be ashamed of himself, he actually prevented Guo Hui from meeting his excellent ex-wife. However, after Guo Huai bribed the then empress Yang Yan and successfully made his daughter Jia Nanfeng crown prince, he still triumphantly dressed up to go to Li Wan's residence. As soon as Guo Hui saw Li Wan's welcome, he was intimidated by his momentum and unconsciously bent down to salute her. Sure enough, Jia Chong knew very well what would happen in the end. Guo Hui no longer dared to appear in front of Li Wan to show off his might, but from then on, whenever Jia Chong went out, Guo Hui sent people to look for him, afraid that Jia Chong would go to meet Li Wan.
If there is a mother, there will be a daughter. Raised by their perverse and jealous mother, the two daughters of Jia Chong and Guo Huai did not take the usual path. Let's start with the youngest daughter. It is said that there was a beautiful man Han Shou at that time, and Jia Chong appreciated him and appointed him as Sikong Shou. The subordinates who were hand-drawn naturally often went in and out of Jia Chong's mansion to participate in banquets. Such a humble gentleman, the man in Yushu Linfeng is naturally a good person who is hung on the tip of his heart by a girl. The youngest daughter Jia Wu's appearance is good, at least better than her sister Jia Nanfeng. At first, when Emperor Wu of Jin proposed marriage for the crown prince Sima Chen, he originally planned to marry Jia Wu, who was one year old and twelve years old at the time, but because Jia Wu was too small at that time and still looked like a child, he hired Jia Nanfeng, who was fifteen years old and relatively mature, as a concubine.
When his father Jia Chong held a banquet, Jia Wu would always hide behind the carved window to peek, once glimpsed the young and handsome Han Shou, and fell in love with him, through the needle thread of the maid who had worked in Han Shou's house before, Jia Wu had trysts with Han Shou at home many times. Later, Jia Chong found that Han Shou had the smell of the Western Regions that Emperor Wu had rewarded him, and saw that his daughter's expression was different from usual recently, and he was suspicious, and after torturing the maidservant, he learned that Jia Wu stole the strange fragrance to Han Shou, only to know that they had a personal affair, which is the origin of the idiom "Han Shou steals incense".
Jia Wu, Jia Nanfeng
My sister is already deviant, and my sister Jia Nanfeng is simply called "crazy criticism queen", why can't she be called "crazy criticism beauty", because Jia Nanfeng can't be called a beauty. "Janan looks ugly and sexually jealous".
If it weren't for Guo Huai's bribery, if it weren't for Sima Yan's belief that the crown prince Sima Xin was not smart and would not be suitable to be a prince. If it weren't for the Guo family, the Jia family was good at management, tried to protect many times, ugly and jealous of Jia Nanfeng, how could she become a crown princess and finally become an empress?
Jia Nanfeng, like his mother Guo Huai, although he is not very good-looking and has no talent, but his family has many resources and money can make ghosts push and grind. There are many strategists, who can help my husband climb up, and this core ability is also very important.
Sima Yan summoned all the officials of the Eastern Palace to the banquet, and at the same time wrote questions to Sima Xin to answer. After Jia Nanfeng saw the question, he knew that Sima Zhi would not know how to answer, so he was very afraid, so he asked someone outside to answer on his behalf, and most of the answers were based on ancient meaning. After Jia Nanfeng showed Zhang Hong, Zhang Hong said: "The prince does not read, but he answers questions based on scriptures, and he will definitely be recognized as answering for him, so it is better to answer directly according to the meaning." Jia Nanfeng agreed, and asked Zhang Hong to answer on his behalf, which Sima Xin copied. Sima Yan was very happy after reading it, and even showed Sima Chen's answer sheet to the young prince Fu Weiqiao to see.
This kind of deception also takes into account some authenticity and knows the mature operation of consulting counselors, which reflects the political ability (ability to fool) of Guo Huai's mother and daughter.
Sima Xin was also afraid of Jia Nanfeng. Jia Nanfeng saw that the other concubines were pregnant, and even beat them in the abdomen to make them abort. Sima Yan was furious when he found out, and just as Jin Yongcheng was completed, he planned to depose Jia Nanfeng and imprison her in Jin Yongcheng. However, Empress Yang Zhi and minister Yang Jue both interceded for Jia Nanfeng, and Xun Xun and others ran around to keep Jia Nanfeng's status as crown princess, so in the end, nothing happened.
In addition, according to the "Book of Jin" and "Zizhi Tongjian", Jia Nanfeng was very promiscuous, and in addition to fornicating with the imperial physician Ling Cheng, he often sent people on the road to find beautiful boys and torture them. A small official who was saved from being killed because of his handsomeness, but because he suddenly had expensive clothes, he was thought to have stolen, and finally confessed that he had slept with Jia Nanfeng for several days and obtained these items. After everyone listened to the official, they all understood that this woman was Empress Jia Nanfeng, so they smiled and left.
The grudge between Empress Yang Zhi and Jia Nanfeng is even more vividly embodied in the four words "grace will take revenge". Empress Yang Zhi was Sima Yan's second empress. The first empress was Yang Yan, the Empress of Wuyuan who bribed by Guo Huai, and it is worth mentioning that Empress Yang Yan of Wuyuan is the biological mother of Sima Xin, the emperor of Jinhui, as a biological mother, she does not choose a virtuous daughter-in-law for her son, and is blinded by external objects, which is really strange. Of course, perhaps the mother also took a fancy to the potential help ability of her own mother and daughter-in-law. When Yang Yan was dying, he rested his head on the knee of Emperor Wu of Jin and said, "Uncle Yang Jun's daughter Yang Zhi has both talents and appearance, and I hope that His Majesty will choose her to prepare for the sixth palace." And weeping sadly, Emperor Wudi of Jin tearfully promised her cousin Yang Zhi to become the successor empress.
Yang Zhi was both young and "Meiying Pepper House", initially favored by Sima Yan and gave birth to the King of Bohai, but unfortunately his son died early, and he never gave birth again. His father Yang Jun's abuse of power aroused Jia Nanfeng's jealousy, and Jia Nanfeng contacted Sima Liang the King of Runan and Sima Wei the King of Chu to stage a coup d'état, kill Yang Jun, and instigate the minister to write a letter to Yang Zhi for plotting rebellion, so that Sima Zhi, the emperor of Jinhui, demoted him to a commoner and sent him to live in Jin Yongcheng.
See, Kim Yong-seong. It was the place where Yang Zhi interceded for Jia Nanfeng before. Empress Yang Zhi entrusted the crown prince and the crown princess to her because her cousin had entrusted her before her death, and advised Sima Yan: "Jia Chong has a meritorious society, and she should be a minister for several generations, and Concubine Jia is his daughter, and between jealousy, it is not enough to hide her great virtue." Only then did he suppress the matter. But also because of this, Yang Zhi often sternly admonished Jia Nanfeng, asking her to repent. However, Jia Nanfeng decided that Sima Yan wanted to depose her, all because Yang Zhi meant. Therefore, he was very resentful of Yang Zhi. Finally, Yang Zhi, who died of freezing and starvation in Kim Yongcheng, did not know if he regretted that he had interceded for Jia Nanfeng.
After the assassination of the Yang clique, Jia Nanfeng, his brother Jia Mo, his uncle Guo Zhang, and his sister Jia Wu's sons Jia Yao, Sima Wei and Sima Xiu intervened in state affairs, and the limelight was unmatched. Jia Nanfeng's mother, Guo Huai, saw that Jia Nanfeng had no children, and often persuaded him to love the crown prince Sima Sui. Here is an interludence, the birth of Prince Sima Sui is also very interesting. His mother Xie Jiu was originally a talented person in Sima Yan's harem, and when Sima Yan was crown prince, Sima Yan was worried that the prince was young and did not know about men and women, so he sent his talented Xie Jiu to sleep in the East Palace, and thus became pregnant. In order to protect the child in the womb and escape the jealous Jia Nanfeng, Xie Jiu asked Emperor Wudi of Jin to return the West Palace, and then gave birth to Sima Sui. It was not until he was three or four years old that Sima Yan told Sima Chen, "This is your son." It was precisely because of this that Sima Xin had a prince.
Guo Huai was dying and warned Jia Nanfeng to love and protect the prince (Jiang is still old and spicy). But Jia Nanfeng did not listen, and together with his sister Jia Wu, he murdered the crown prince. In 299 AD (the ninth year of Yuankang), Jia Nanfeng falsely claimed that he had been pregnant and had a son during the funeral of Emperor Wu that year, but because the matter was secret, it was not announced to the public, and he took Han Weizu, the son of his sister-in-law Han Shou, as his own son, and wanted to depose Sima Sui and make Han Weizu the crown prince.
Jia Nanfeng forcibly drunk Sima Sui and asked him to write in a drunken and confused state: "Your Majesty should be self-sufficient, not self-sufficient, I should enter it." The middle palace is quick to be self-sufficient, not self-sufficient, I am in charge. And ask for it together with Concubine Xie, two shots at the moment, do not hesitate, so that future troubles. Ru Mao drank blood under the three chens, and the emperor Xu Dang swept away the afflictions, establishing Daowen as the king, and Jiang as the inner lord. May it be fulfilled, and the words "Three Sacrifices of the Northern Lord" should be fulfilled. Half of the characters were incomplete due to drunkenness, and Jia Nanfeng revised them again, eventually handing over the words to Sima Zhi and the various clansmen, saying that Sima Sui had rebelled, eventually deposing him as crown prince, imprisoning Sima Sui and his three young sons in Jin Yongcheng, and killing Sima Sui's biological mother Xie Jiu and Sima Yu's biological mother Jiang Jun. Sima Sui's father-in-law Wang Yan hurriedly petitioned for divorce, and Sima Sui's wife Wang Huifeng had to cry bitterly.
Because of the deposition of the famous crown prince, many people were very angry, and the Right Guard Governor Sima Ya, Chang Cong Governor Xu Chao, and Lang Shiyu in the palace even attempted to depose Jia Nanfeng, re-establish Sima Sui as the crown prince, and lobbyed Sun Xiu, a close confidant of Sima Lun the King of Zhao. Sun Xiu agreed, and reported Sima Lun, and even tried to seize power for Sima Lun. Sun Xiuhou immediately carried out a counter-scheme, saying that some people in the palace planned to abolish Jia Nanfeng and restore Sima Sui, which cooperated with the voice of popular resentment, which greatly frightened Jia Nanfeng; Sima Lun and Sun Xiu then persuaded Jia Yao to kill Sima Sui in order to kill the hearts of the people. Jia Nanfeng then ordered his lover Imperial Physician to order Cheng Cheng to bring poison, and ordered Huangmen Sun Xi to go and poison Sima Sui, but Sima Sui refused to take it, and Sun Xi eventually killed Sima Sui with a pestle.
In the second month after Sima Sui was killed, Sima Lun the King of Zhao forged an edict to depose Jia Nanfeng on the charge of murdering the crown prince, and with the support of many people, he killed Jia Wu's son Jia Yao after entering the palace, and sent Sima Feng the Prince of Qi (which is interesting, that is, the grandson of Jia Chong's ex-wife Li Wan, and the son of Jia Zhao) to capture Jia Nanfeng.
Jia Nanfeng saw Sima Feng enter the palace overnight, knowing that something was wrong, and asked in shock: "What are you doing here?" "The edict captures the queen!" Sima Feng answered. Jia Nanfeng then asked, "When the edict is issued from my hand, what edict are you serving?" Sima Feng stopped paying attention to her, escorted her out, and left the apse. Coming to the upper pavilion, Sima Xin's shadow was faintly visible, and Jia Nanfeng shouted from a distance: "Your Majesty, you have watched your wife let the family be ruined, in the end, have you not abolished Your Majesty himself?" After shouting, seeing that it was useless, he asked Sima Feng again: "Who is the initiator?" Sima Feng did not shy away and replied, "It's King Zhao and King Liang." When Jia Nanfeng heard this, he was full of remorse, and cursed viciously: "If a dog is tied to its neck, I will tie its tail, and I deserve it." I only hate that I didn't kill these two old dogs first, but I was bitten by them. ”
After that, Jia Nanfeng was taken to Jin Yongcheng and deposed as a commoner, and later arrested Jia Nanfeng's henchmen such as Zhao Yu, Jia Wu, and Cheng Zheng. At the same time, Sima Lun captured and executed some prestigious ministers such as Sikong Zhang Hua and Shang Shu Servant Pei Xuan, which facilitated his dictatorship. Sima Lun took the throne and monopolized power after killing Jia Hou's henchmen and Zhang Hua, and soon poisoned Jia Nanfeng with gold chip wine, and Jia Nanfeng was only forty-five when he died. Thus, the life of the mad queen came to an end.
The mad criticism of the empress's operation gradually evolved into the Rebellion of the Eight Kings, one of the most serious imperial civil strife in Chinese history, when the social economy was severely damaged. Although this jealous and terrible mother and daughter are not the only reason for troubled times, they at least contribute to the fuse of troubled times.
