Giorgino Wijnaldum, born on 11 November 1990 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, joined the Spartan Academy Rotterdam at the age of 7 to train in football.
At the age of 14 in 2004, Wijnaldum moved to fellow city side Feyenoord and was promoted to the first team in January 2007, and Wijnaldum became an absolute mainstay in the 08-09 season, scoring five goals and eight assists in 45 appearances on all fronts. He played for Feyenoord for 5 seasons, scoring 25 goals and assisting 11 times in 135 appearances, and won a Dutch Cup with the team.
Wijnaldum joined Eindhoven in June 2011 for 5 million euros, wearing the number 10 shirt, and with his outstanding strength, Wijnaldum gradually settled in the main position of the team. In the second leg of the Champions League semi-final match between Liverpool and Barca, Wijnaldum scored twice as a substitute in the second half and was liverpool's biggest contributor to the 4-0 home win over Barca.
