A resort in the Caribbean
The Turks and Caicos Islands, like many other islands in the Caribbean, have iconic turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, with average temperatures of around 27°C and around 350 sunny days a year, meaning it's a great place to spend most of the year on holiday. Pink flamingos and tropical plants are pleasing to the eye and bring a lot of life and vitality to the island.
In this rich and splendid archipelago, only 9 islands are inhabited by Grand Turk, Providenciales and North Caicos, of which Providenciales is one of the most developed islands, and the city of Coburn on Grand Turk is the political seat of the archipelago, and these two islands are also the main tourist destinations.
There are direct flights from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada to Providenciales International Airport in the Turks Caicos Islands, about 3h from New York, although it is one of the British overseas territories, the common currency is the US dollar, because of the posthumous independence plus the island's many luxury resorts, the consumption is slightly higher.
Providenciales Island
After landing at the international airport, the plane is greeted by vast stretches of white sand beaches, spa treatments and championship-level golf courses that will allow everyone to relax and unwind. Modern conveniences accompanied by azure sea views make this an ideal getaway for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle and need to relax.
Diving lovers look to the corals and waters that await visitors on the North Coast, Grace Island has been voted one of the "World's Best Sands" by many travel magazines, and its long soft sand and sapphire waters make it a beach traveler's dream destination.
For a more intimate getaway, head to Long Bay on the south side of the island, a breezy coast perfect for surfing!
Those who like to be close to nature can head south to the turquoise Chalk Sound, or head to a shell farm to see for yourself how shells grow from larvae to colorful shells.
In the evening, Amanyara offers an almost daily sunset at Malcolm Beach on the western tip of the island, overlooking the pristine white beach waters of the Marine National Park, inheriting the free nature of the Caribbean and is a haven of tranquility.
Stroll on the beach with your family, loved ones, spend some undisturbed time surrounded by beautiful sandy oceans, and enjoy lobster, conch and other dishes prepared by Europe's top chefs. This relaxed atmosphere is exactly what you want to enjoy on vacation.
A 25-minute boat ride from Providenciales Island, Parrot Cay Private Island Resort, home to the luxury resort COMO Parrot Cay, is home to the luxury resort COMO Parrot Cay, spread over 1,000 acres and over four miles of beach, resembling the American's version of the Maldives, a secret base for Hollywood movie stars!
The Caicos Islands are also easy to take by boat from here: North Caicos boasts a flock of flamingos, Middle Caicos Island's densely packed stalactite caves, and South Caicos Island is a famous diving destination with stunning underwater walls, an abundance of corals and marine life. Large pelagic creatures such as sharks, eagle rays, turtles, spotted rays, octopuses and barracudas inhabit the area. It is also an ideal whale watching spot during the winter migration of whales.
Grand Turk Island
Unlike the modern and natural landscapes of Providenciales, Grand Turk is the capital island and historic center of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
It is said that Grand Turk Island was the starting point of Columbus' landing on the American continent and also opened the door to the New World. A large number of historical buildings are scattered in the city of Coburn, and the buildings of different styles record the colonial past, and the ruins of broken stone tell ancient stories and legends.
Luxury cruise ships from all over the world gather in the harbor of Coburn City, and standing on the deck of the cruise ship, you can notice a 2,000-meter-deep "cliff under the sea" 200 meters from the shore, and the sea suddenly changes from blue to deep blue, which is also a great spectacle.
The Grand Turk Lighthouse at the northern end of the island is an important landmark with a long history, dating back to the mid-19th century, when it was transported piece by piece from England to the island and rebuilt here, and the lighthouse and the guard's hut on it are listed as historical sites. Little donkeys on the street will warmly welcome visitors.
The National Museum of the Turks and Caicos Islands documents the country's history, salt industry and natural environment, with shipwrecks dating back more than 500 years and "drifting bottles" washed ashore from around the world.
The most popular excursion not far from Grand Turk is Gibbs Island, where visitors can visit the uninhabited island, picnic on the beach and have the chance to feed the beautiful stingrays while swimming along the coast.
