She is the first female cross-talk actress in China to appear on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the only female disciple of the famous cross-talk actor Hou Yaowen, and the sister of Guo Degang. In 1988, Shan Lianli was well known to the audience on the Spring Festival Gala stage with her cross-talk "Persuasion Frame". As a cross-talk actor of the Railway Cultural and Labor Troupe, Shan Lianli once proudly said: "The cross-talk of the Railway Cultural and Labor Troupe is the aircraft carrier of Chinese cross-talk. However, having said that, Shan Lianli did not stay in the cross-talk field on this aircraft carrier for long.
