So is there any need for Confucius to explain? Yes, and it is necessary. Although Confucius was in his 50s at the time, he did not necessarily need Zilu to teach him what to do and what not to do. But at that time, this matter was indeed very sensitive and easy to misunderstand. Zilu's displeasure was exactly what Confucius was worried about, so Confucius wanted to explain.
