Now recall: my father has been a shop assistant since he was a child, often sending money to his home (no land), but the family is always very bitter, when there is no food, my mother took me to my aunt's house to live for a period, after the death of my third grandfather, we were divided into five straw houses, after 1926, my father's career in Qingdao was stable, our life improved, I could only start studying, since 1935 my father was ill and could not work, I relied on part-time work and study in middle school to maintain until I graduated from middle school, and then I began my personal life alone, without any dependence, Until 1946, the career was fixed and life was stable to this day.
Relatives and friends who have influence on my political ideology, there are two people, one is 'Su Jiajun' and the other is 'Wang Chunyao', my cousin 'Su Jiajun' joined the Communist Youth League when he was in high school in Harbin, and then stopped school, and directly participated in underground activities, when I was studying in high school and junior high school, he often sent books and magazines to me, I couldn't understand it at the time, and now I remember that there was "leftist infantile disease", at that time what was formed ideologically was hatred of the bourgeoisie, 'Wang Chunyao' is now the Ministry of Public Security in Beijing, When I was working as a duty technician in the Wynn factory, he was a duty assistant, he was already working underground, and he often talked to me about the Communist Party, after the Huaihai Campaign, before the liberation of Nanjing, the masses in the Wynn factory were very mobile and dense, and 'Wang Chunyao' paid attention to me, hinted that we should not move around (don't be afraid), and analyzed why the war was not going on near the factory (the fact is that the war did not go through there) At that time I was amazed at the accuracy of his analysis.
Family parents have little education for our children, because they are busy every day just for life, the only requirement for us is to review homework, finish school to find a job, can get a few yuan a month salary is considered to be wealthy, oppose me to read political, economic, sociology and other books, think that it is useless, we can't count on, there are no such relatives and friends, this all shows that we don't have any lofty aspirations, it's best not to leave our parents too far, under the domination of this education, In my personal life, my thoughts and actions dominated me, and this thought had a great influence on me for a long time, such as pure technical concepts, unwilling to study chemical engineering instead of teacher training, and before Japan entered Nanjing in November 1937, I did not want to go home to do odd jobs, but had to go into exile in Sichuan in order to continue studying technology.
(2) Detailed personal history before joining the revolution
1. Education: From September 1931 to June 1934, I studied in the junior department of Qingdao City Middle School, and the Kuomintang used the student leadership activities of the high school, and at that time I couldn't understand what they said, as if it was announced at the student assembly of the whole school, the leadership of our executive committee. At that time, I didn't know what their purpose was.
From April 1935 to June 1937, there was a strike in the school to demand resistance against Japan, and there were leaflets scattered by the Qingdao Student Self-Government Association Federation near the school building. At that time, I was in a difficult situation, I had to pay for meals every day, because I was very depressed, I was reluctant to talk to others, I was thinking about how to get through it every day in meditation, I rarely smiled, I rarely interacted with others. Sunday is also a person to the mountains and forests to bask in the sun (sunbathing), sometimes play ball or swim in the sea, the main thing is to like to climb mountains, swim in the woods, climb mountains and look far away, because it is completely a personal action, there is no contact after graduation, recall that there may still be Mu Kejiu, Yang Ziqian, He Shoutian, Zhou Hui and others in Qingdao, as for their occupation, address is completely unknown.
2. Social experience: In July 1937, he began to work as a technical worker on duty in the water and gas workshop of Nanjing Yongli Factory, when the Lugou Bridge Incident had already begun, the war of aggression was constantly moving south, and our thoughts were also very unstable. On August 13, Japan began to attack Shanghai, and on the 14th, it bombed Nanjing with aircraft, and the Wynn factory was also directly threatened, after which the Wynn factory was intermittently produced under the threat of enemy aircraft.
