For overly simple building doors, appropriate widening is made to add historical decorations to the already historic building. From the entrance, the project looks like a typical residential building in western Sichuan, with blue tile white walls, brick walls and stone roads, but the difference is the watchtower building sticking out of the head on one side and the children's mailbox-like art installation.

How did the design team transform such a current village?

The team used the abandoned hydropower station at the entrance of the village to add bricks and tiles to the old building and transform it into an ecological community center consisting of a bookstore, café and art museum. The space on the sunken floor is a nature bookstore under the sky, and the walls and old ceiling of the original building are still preserved inside, so you can feel the history of the building when you walk in. The second floor terrace is a café for public rest, where tourists and villagers can enjoy the scenery of the landscape and river. As a mountain village in the south, Shangping Village is one of the few places in the Sanming area where you can enjoy the snow scenery in winter, and the altitude advantage also makes it still have sunrise and bird's eye view of the city outside of winter, which shows that the cultural tourism resources of Shangping Village are extremely rich.

The natural beauty of Shangping Village attracts a large number of tourists to visit the mountain every year during the tourist season.
