Last weekend, FIFA officially announced the latest women's world ranking in March 2023 on its official website, and China's women's football team ranked 13th in the world with 1856.98 points, and still ranked fourth in Asia.
Three months after FIFA last announced the women's world rankings, the Chinese women's team has risen one place to 13th, from 14th in December last year, although points have declined.
In terms of overall ranking, the United States women's football team is still the leader of the world women's football team, ranking first with 2078.5 points, the German women's football team ranked second with 2068.12 points, and the Swedish women's football team ranked third with 2064.67 points. At the Women's World Cup in July, China's women's team ranked fourth among the three opponents in the group stage, the strongest opponents are the seeded England women's team, the European powerhouse Denmark women's team is 15th, only two places away from the Chinese women's team, and the Haitian women's team is the weakest ranked 53rd.
The AFC Women's World Ranking is still relatively weak overall, with only four teams in the top 20, Australia, Japan, China and South Korea, among which the Australian women's football team, which joined the AFC this century, has the highest ranking and has just squeezed into the top 10. The Chinese women's football team has remained unchanged in the ranking in Asia and remains in fourth place.
