In the "special period" of the sixties and seventies of the last century, the country fell into chaos, the country developed slowly, the society was in chaos, and many revolutionary fighters were also persecuted and treated unfairly.
But they still believe in the party, they still believe that justice will come. In this turmoil, Li Xuefeng was also forced to be involved, but fortunately, he was later wronged and cleared of grievances, and although he was old, he was still reused, so what positions did he hold afterwards?
Patriotic anti-Japanese participation in the revolution
Li Xuefeng, a native of Shanxi, was born in 1907 to a peasant family, and although his parents did not have good financial resources and could only live a poor life, they always insisted on providing Li Xuefeng with education.
Li Xuefeng has had excellent academic performance since he was a child, and after seeing the suffering of frequent wars and oppressed working people, he set a lofty dream to become a teacher who teaches and educates people in the future, cultivates talents for China, and changes the fate of the country.
In order to achieve his ideals, Li Xuefeng was more diligent and assiduous, and at the age of eighteen he was admitted to Taiyuan National Normal College, and then sent to Shanxi University, where he came into contact with Marxist books, advanced ideas shocked him and made him think, in addition to studying, he also participated in patriotic movements many times.
In 1933, Li Xuefeng joined the Communist Party of China, and since then has been carrying out revolutionary undertakings in Shanxi, propagating revolutionary ideas, strengthening the revolutionary ranks, and establishing a number of anti-Japanese guerrilla groups, and is also one of the founders of the Taihangshan Revolutionary Base Area, making great contributions to the victory of the mainland anti-Japanese resistance.
For the country and the people, but stigmatized
From June 1949, Li Xuefeng worked in the central and southern regions, which were still in the early stage of liberation, and not only had the remnants of bandit forces not yet been eradicated, but local construction was also imminent and urgently put on the agenda.
During his term of office, Li Xuefeng led everyone to smash the remaining forces of bandits, restore urban economic development, and also launched the rent reduction and resettlement and land revolution movement, and the famous Wuhan Iron and Steel Plant was also built under the auspices of Li Xuefeng.
Over the years, Li Xuefeng has accumulated rich experience in the construction of people's livelihood, serving as the first secretary of the North China Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in 1960, and succeeding Peng Zhen as the first secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee six years later.
When Li Xuefeng was working in Beijing, turmoil had already appeared, from school students to factory employees, full of "left" ideas, Li Xuefeng wanted to stabilize everyone, but in the end he also became a persecuted party, inexplicably targeted by everyone.
In order to protect him, the organization transferred him to Tianjin. But in 1970, he was not able to escape this disaster, was dismissed from his post, and was placed in a labor reform, and for several years he appealed to the authorities, but there was no response. This revolutionary fighter, who had dedicated his life to the country, the organization, and the people, was stigmatized, imprisoned, interrogated, and subjected to inhuman treatment.
Sinking into the snow and reusing it
Li Xuefeng was expelled from the party in 1973, but he has always been firm in his heart, believing that the party and the country will return his innocence, and this has been waiting for more than a decade. In 1982, Li Xuefeng, who was already 75 years old, finally recovered his reputation and was restored.
The following year, Li Xuefeng was elected a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and in 1985 became a member of the Central Advisory Committee. Despite his advanced age, he remained active in the political arena, working for the country and the people until 1988.
Li Xuefeng had two wives in his life, the first wife was named Li Baolian, and the second wife was named Zhai Ying. Li Xuefeng's children are very good, and his son Li Xiaofeng works in the Taihang branch of the Eighth Route Army Research Association and serves as secretary general. In addition, Li Xuefeng's third daughter Li Danyu once married Bo Yibo's son and had a son named Bo Wangzhi, so he and Bo Yibo are in-laws.
On March 15, 2003, Li Xuefeng died of illness in Beijing at the age of 97.
