▲ Tank rebalance!
Hello World of Tanks players, we are very familiar with the M-series 10 tank destroyer T110E3 in the game. Unlike the snipers who focus on the "black gun", the T110E3 is more like a powerful bulldozer, rushing through the enemy's obstacles with the support of teammates. In version 1.20, the car's performance has been tweaked a bit, and in this article we will share with you how the T110E3 performs after the tune.
▲Modification of T110E3
In version 1.20, T110E3 received the following changes:
- Loading time increased from 17 to 18 seconds
- Aiming time increased from 2.5 to 2.7 seconds
- The observation range was adjusted from 390 m to 370 m
- Health increased from 2050 to 1950
The T110E3 has reduced firepower, field of vision, and health in this modification, which obviously gives it less control in battle. At the same time, the T95 tank of the 9th level on the line has been similarly modified to ensure consistent line performance.
155 heavy artillery sorties
▲T110E3 main gun and engine
In version 1.20, the fire attribute of the T110E3 has been reduced. Its main gun reload time and aiming time have been slightly reduced, but the rest of the data of its 155 mm T7E2 AT anti-tank gun has not been changed, and it is still representative of the power of the M series tank gun. The gun's armor-piercing shells have an average penetration depth of 295/375 mm, armor-piercing shells with an average damage of 750 points, and high-explosive shells also have an average penetration depth of 90 mm and a high damage of 1100 points. The T110E3 is not equipped with a magazine reloading system, the car still needs a single reload, and after adjusting the attributes, the base DPM of the car is 2607, which is about 150 points lower than before.
▲ Directly penetrates the armor on the hull of the rat prototype
This modification did not reduce the gun accuracy of the T110E3, but the weakening of the aiming time still had some impact on the gun control of the T110E3, and it needed to spend a little more time waiting for the aiming circle to shrink to a minimum in actual combat. However, the depth and power of the T110E3 155mm anti-tank gun cannot be ignored, and those modifications have not weakened its top-level destructive power. The large 155 mm caliber is very easy against tanks that require a "crush" mechanism (such as the V series tank destroyer), often causing enemy ammunition racks to explode or fuel tanks to catch fire. An average penetration depth of 295 mm of ordinary armor-piercing bullets is enough to penetrate most tanks in World of Tanks, and the average penetration depth of 375 mm of special ammunition has reached the "supreme" level, it is not only fast enough but also not absorbed by gap armor, in actual combat has better practicality than those armor-piercing bullets with higher penetration. With the blessing of accessories, crew skills and supplies, the T110E3's rate of fire is not slow, and few people can withstand its continuous "heavy punches".
Strong survivability
▲ Not afraid of enemy challenges
The 1.20 modification did not weaken the T110E3's defenses, only reduced its health. However, the T110E3 itself has exceeded most Tier 10 heavy tanks, and it is a real "iron turtle" in the minds of players. In the positive case, the frontal armor of the T110E3 fighting compartment is equivalent to AP shells of about 445 mm, while the usual "commander's conning tower" is not considered a weak point here in T110E3, its actual thickness is quite amazing, only special ammunition for level 10 tank destroyers can be considered for penetration. The frontal weakness of the T110E3 is only the lower hull armor, where the equivalent for AP shells is about 230 mm.
▲Try to keep facing the enemy head-on
However, the T110E3's most common weakness in combat is its hull side, where it is as vulnerable as other Western tanks. The equivalent of the T110E3 hull fighting compartment side to AP shells is about 150 mm, while the hull chassis side is only 44-76 mm thick. In actual combat, with a small angle, the equivalent thickness here will become relatively high, but a slightly larger angle will be easily broken through. The rear of the car is equivalent to AP shells of about 38 mm, which is extremely vulnerable in the case of level 10 high penetration and high explosive shells. Overall, the changes in version 1.20 slightly reduce the survivability of the T110E3, but it's still tough in this respect.
Extremely poor maneuverability
▲ The mobility of the tank is not good
The maneuverability of the T110E3 has not been adjusted, because its biggest shortcoming is in maneuverability, and there is really nothing to weaken. The actual power of the T110E3 engine is 925 hp, but its own weight is as high as about 75 tons, and the unit power is only a measly 12.38 hp/ton. And the tank's forward speed is only 24 km / h, the reverse speed is only -8 km / h, and the track terrain resistance coefficient of T110E3 is quite poor, the vehicle in the three terrain travel resistance is extremely high, with the track rotation speed of 25 degrees / second, T110E3 maneuverability can be said to be very poor.
Visibility and concealment
▲ The field of view is lowered and the aggressiveness is reduced
In version 1.20, the field of view of the T110E3 was weakened, from 390 meters to 370 meters, which is not a small impact for it. For advanced tank destroyers, the field of view is very important, because once suppressed by the enemy, it will fall into passivity, not to mention the concealment value of the T110E3 is relatively poor. Fortunately, the depression angle of the T110E3 is relatively excellent, inheriting the consistent characteristics of the M series, and the depression angle is as high as -8°. However, the horizontal firing range of the tank is relatively average, with a total of only 16°, and it is necessary to turn the hull frequently in actual combat.
Field Upgrades and Accessory Recommendations
▲A field upgrade combination
Since the T110E3 does not have a turret, and at the same time the vehicle is less maneuverable, accessories can be considered to carry a bomb conveyor / improved rotary system / improved durability / structural adjustment / advanced optical sight mirrors / improved ventilation system, track teeth and turbocharger can also be considered. In terms of field upgrades, the T110E3 can be selected by referring to the image above, but it still depends on the player's combat style.
Let's summarize the advantages and disadvantages of T110E3 after version 1.20:
- The frontal defense of the tank is excellent
- Powerful 155 mm anti-tank gun
- Good sustained output with gun penetration
- The tank is less mobile
- Poor visibility, concealment values of the tank
▲Armored heavy artillery
Although the modification of the T110E3 in version 1.20 will reduce its combat performance, it will not affect the "core competitiveness" of the T110E3. The T110E3 is still a very tough Tier 10 "Iron Tortoise", which can still break through enemy defenses with the support of teammates and defeat enemy defenses with the powerful 155 cannon. The long-range "black gun" is also no problem for the T110E3, but its hull is less resistant to high-explosive shells, so it is necessary to engage enemy tanks in the "anti-gun position" as much as possible, while avoiding "blood swap" battles with high-burst/high-output enemies. Playing alone, it is very easy to fall into a disadvantageous situation, and it is highly recommended that T110E3 players team up to fight. As long as the armored heavy artillery remains, the T110E3 is still YYDS!
