Korean media: The Korean Constitutional Court conducted the 13th trial of the presidential impeachment case

According to South Korean media reports, on the morning of the 14th local time, the 13th trial debate of the impeachment case of South Korean President Park Geun-hye was held in the Constitutional Court. An Fenggen, the second subordinate secretary of the former Blue House Presidential Secretariat Office, attended the debate as a witness on the same day.

According to reports, Ahn Fenggen is suspected of helping or acquiescing to Choi Soon's administration, and is believed to be the core figure who can solve the "7-hour whereabouts" of the president on the day of the "Sewol" shipwreck.

On the other hand, in the afternoon, former GKL President Lee Ki-woo will also attend the debate as a witness. Former Playground representative Kim Hong-cheol and former Miller Consortium director Kim Kyung-so have expressed their absence from the debate.

On the afternoon of December 9, 2016, the South Korean National Assembly voted 234 in favor of the impeachment bill on the impeachment of President Park Geun-hye, far exceeding the 200 votes required to pass the impeachment bill.

After the parliamentary session, a copy of the impeachment resolution was submitted to Park Geun-hye herself, who was suspended from performing the functions of head of state and government under the Constitution and exercised by Prime Minister Hwang Kyung-aon on her behalf. However, until the Constitutional Court's ruling, she maintained her presidential title and continued to live in the Blue House with a basic salary.

Park Geun-hye said that because of her incompetence and inattention, it has caused chaos in the country, and "I feel a sincere sense of guilt for the people." At the same time, she said that she would "calmly face" the impeachment trial of the Constitutional Court and the investigation of independent prosecutors in accordance with the Constitution and legal procedures.
