The Greys were directed by the Russo brothers, the film director of The Avengers. According to Deadline, Netflix plans to make "Grey Man" into a series with a budget of more than $200 million, which is the highest budget original film ever made by Netflix.

In addition to director Joe Russo, the screenplay for "Greys" was written with the help of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, screenwriters of the Captain America and Avengers films.

Filming for "The Greys, which will begin in Los Angeles later this month," is based on a 2009 novel by Mark Greaney, which revolves around the nickname "Greys," whose real name is Kurt Greaney. Gentry's former CIA spy and freelance killer unfolds, showing a deadly duel between the killers. The killer, played by Gosling, will be hunted down around the globe by former CIA colleague Lloyd Hansen, played by the US team.
