Mobile Game Recommendations | Review of the demo version of Bonds

Hi everyone, I'm Little Aunt. Last week, there was a pixel-style mobile game called "Bonds" mentioned in the mobile game information, and I said that when it came out, I would report to you a preview of the next game, so today it is its turn.

First of all, this game is only a 30-minute demo on TapTap, not an official game. So this game is actually still in development, and then it is also launched on the Steam page, and it is estimated that it will be launched on PC first.

"Bond" is a pixel style story game, the story background tells the story of the worker "Jean", who likes to read since he was a child, and has always felt that he will become an amazing adult when he grows up, but the reality is cruel, and he is just a maintenance worker when he grows up.

And after working diligently for the company for 15 years, one day the leader suddenly informed him that he had been laid off.

He was so frustrated that his good buddies from childhood called him, so they met to drink at a nearby bar.

After three rounds of drinking, let me suddenly feel dizzy. So he came to a strange forest and met the land lord, who gave him a chance to be reborn, let him return to his youth, and start over.

The plot of the demo version ends here, and it is conceivable that the game should unfold with him returning to his youth, and then experiencing some major life choices again, and once again reminiscing about the emotions of his youth.

As for how the story will end, are the chances of rebirth real? Has the future really changed after being reborn? What is the protagonist's upbringing? These will have to wait until the official version is released.

Let's talk about the highlights of the game.

First of all, the music, I have to say that the music is really quite plus, the opening of the game is the protagonist let the childhood and friends of a piece of experience, at this time BGM is an acoustic guitar playing, the opening copy quotes Luo Dayou's "Childhood", which is still very in line with the game atmosphere;

Immediately after the protagonist grows up and enters society, the picture jumps to a high-speed subway, this time BGM is full of electronic metal rock music, and the background of the game is set in a more cyberpunk era, there are robots, so this electronic music with the protagonist's state of mind at that time, a modern but depressing atmosphere is self-evident.

Secondly, in this plot-oriented game, there are some nostalgic mini-games built-in, such as a game console called "Thunder Flash" in the bar, and after opening, it is the airplane game that we often played when we were children, mainly to create a feeling of nostalgia.

Next, I personally feel that there are still areas for improvement.

The first is operation, the buttons on the mobile phone to operate the left and right movement of the characters are very difficult to control, especially the plane mini game, the buttons are too small, it is easy to press and not move, and the experience in terms of interaction is not very good;

Secondly, the details, I especially like pixel style, because I feel that pixel wind can make a lot of eye-catching details, such as "Mad Father" and "Witch's House", which perfectly combine narrative and horror in my mind, which are also pixels, but can make people think about it in the details. But in this game, there is no such graphic effect yet.

Overall, the gameplay experience is a decent game, but if you put it on the PC side, I personally feel that at the current level of production, it is a bit reluctant.

After all, on the PC side, there are many high-quality works of this theme, in addition to the horror games I said before, the domestic "Perfect Day", "Mountain and Sea Traveler", and Moonlight Cockroach's "Hessian Town Strange Tan" are all very good plot works.

So, the evaluation of "Bonds" is here, and I will consider whether to issue more reviews later. I'm a little aunt, let's talk about the next game~
