In 1615, Concubine Zheng knelt down to the crown prince and begged for mercy, but five years later, she was again involved in a suspicious case

author:Literature and history

In 1620, just 10 days after the enthronement ceremony, Zhu Changluo, a 39-year-old Mingguangzong, fell ill. A dozen days later, he took the initiative to take the second "red pill". But by the time I saw him again on the morning of the second day, he had closed his eyes forever. And, after his death, his son became homeless.

This year, 39-year-old Zhu Changluo finally came to work hard and officially became emperor. But this matter, in the eyes of some people, is like the tip of a needle.

The "certain people" here once included his father, Zhu Yijun of the Mingshen Sect.

Zhu Changluo's birth was purely an accident.

He was the "crystallization" of a night of clouds and rain between his father and his grandmother, Empress Dowager Li, when he was 19 years old.

The reason why it is not a "crystallization of love" is because - he does not have much love for the Wang family.

But Empress Dowager Li is very precious to this first grandson. No, at her suggestion, the Wang clan was named Concubine Wang Gong and had a title.

However, over the years, Wang's identity has only stood still and has not been able to go further.

And all this is related to another woman - Zheng.

Zheng Shi is not from a famous family, but her intelligence, gentleness and beauty make his father feel that he has found his soul mate in this life.

It is a pity that Zheng did not feel at ease because of this.

In 1582, Zheng Shi, who had just been named Zheng Shu's concubine, saw that Wang Shi gave birth to Zhu Changluo, and then looked at his flat abdomen, and his heart was as uncomfortable as scratching his heart.

Therefore, she did everything she could, and finally in the following year and in 1586, Zhu Yijun gave birth to the next daughter Yun and princess, and the third son Zhu Changxun.

At this time, Zheng Shi was finally able to sigh for a long time.

And Zhu Yijun really loves her. Although he has countless beautiful harems, he is still willing to give all the good things to Zheng Guifei, whether it is his money or his people, not to mention the name that is given.

After she gave birth to Yunhe Princess, she was immediately given the title of Concubine Zheng, with a rank above Concubine Wang Gong; After giving birth to Zhu Changxun, she became an imperial concubine.

At this time, it was only one step away from the queen.

However, this frequent action made the imperial court officials quite dissatisfied.

They seem to have seen that the Mingshen Sect will "abolish the elder and establish the young" in the future, which is bound to shake the "national foundation"!

Therefore, less than 5 days after Zheng Guifei's concubine was knighted, Jiang Yinglin, the chief assistant of the cabinet of "Toutie", went to the emperor, mainly expressing two meanings:

1. If you want to canonize, you must first canonize Concubine Wang Gong, and then Zheng;

2. Make Zhu Changluo the crown prince to determine the foundation of the world.

But Zhu Yijun, who had a deep affection for Zheng Guifei, was furious when he saw this, and almost slapped the table in front of him. The result was self-evident, and Jiang Yinglin was demoted and transferred.

But this did not block the ministers' mouths, and every once in a while, Zhu Yijun would always hear their "bitter mouths".

Over time, in order to keep his ear roots clean, Zhu Yijun simply stopped going to the dynasty, spending all day with Zheng Guifei before and after the moon, you non my nong.

Later, Concubine Zheng gave birth to several children in succession. Her 3 sons and 3 daughters, without exception, were all loved by Zhu Yijun.

In the following 30 years, Zhu Yijun almost only saw his small family with Zheng Guifei.

And such a happy family life is something that Zhu Changluo did not dare to think about.

Although he was the eldest son, his father never firmly stated that he would definitely make him crown prince. He understood early on that the scales of fate did not necessarily tip in his favor.

If it were not for the tireless advice of the courtiers to make his father obey the ancestral system, I am afraid that he would not have been made crown prince at the age of 19 (1601).

With the end of this 15-year "dispute over the foundation of the country" (the Crown Prince/Crown Prince dispute), his mother Wang Shi was finally promoted to imperial concubine five years later.

But what is annoying is that Concubine Zheng has always been eyeing the position of the crown prince.

Therefore, there are always dangers -

In the second year after becoming the crown prince, someone said that "Concubine Zheng Guifei wants to replace the crown prince", and as a result, his father arrested everyone who said this and executed him.

Another time, still this rumor, my father directly asked King Fu (Zhu Changxun) to go to Luoyang to become the king of the clan to block everyone's mouths.

His mother, Concubine Wang, was already worried about illness, and his eyes were gradually blind in the back, so naturally he couldn't help him much. Thanks to the secret protection of his grandmother Empress Dowager Li, Zhu Changluo was able to grow up safely.

However, in 1611 and 1614, the successive deaths of his mother and grandmother shattered his long-standing protective shell. Two years after his grandmother's death, he suffered a raid.

In 1615, Concubine Zheng knelt down to the crown prince and begged for mercy, but five years later, she was again involved in a suspicious case

In 1615, a man named Zhang Cha, armed with a wooden stick, infiltrated Zhu Changluo's palace and injured eunuchs and guards, almost injuring Zhu Changluo. Thanks to the timely protection of the internal official Han Ben, he did not succeed.

Later, under cross-examination, the assassin confessed that the masterminds were Zheng Guifei's henchmen, Pang Bao and Liu Cheng.

That's a tough one. If the assassination of the prince were to be released by the tyrannical monarch, the assassin would have already made several trips to Huangquan Road. Besides, the ministers are watching!

Concubine Zheng panicked, and Chu Chu cried pitifully to Zhu Yijun.

But Zhu Yijun said helplessly: "Concubine, it's useless for you to cry with me." If the prince spares you, I naturally won't delve into it. ”

Concubine Zheng could only bite the bullet and reluctantly come to the prince. As soon as she entered the door, she knelt in front of the prince with a handful of snot and tears.

When the prince saw it, he also knelt down and comforted her one after another.

In the end, the two sides reconciled, and Zhang Cha was executed, while her henchmen were unharmed.

Since then, Concubine Zheng has finally been a little more honest.

But in 1620, after the death of Zhu Yijun, who had reigned for 48 years, bad luck befell Zhu Changluo again.

Probably because his heart was empty and depressed for a long time, Zhu Changluo, like his father, spent most of his youth indulging in sound and color, and reveled in the gentle countryside of women, resulting in his body gradually overdrawn.

Although he had the emperor's order, he died less than 1 month after ascending the throne at the age of 39.

This was the day before the Wanshou Festival and the 10th day after Zhu Changluo completed the enthronement ceremony, and he began to fall ill.

At this time, Cui Wensheng, the eunuch of the imperial pharmacy (who had been a confidant of Zheng Guifei), sent Zhu Changluo a "good medicine" and persuaded him that it would work.

But that night, he had diarrhea all night, and people had already collapsed, and his condition was more serious.

After another 17 or 8 days, Li Kezhuo of Hongluo Temple offered Zhu Changluo an "elixir".

At this time, most of the imperial doctors around him did not approve of him taking it, but he held the mentality of "a dead horse as a living horse doctor" and insisted on taking this red pill.

That night, as if returning to the light, he felt that his body had recovered a lot, and he took another 1 pill.

The next morning, the Qianqing Palace was dead silent.

Before dying, he left an edict, hoping that everyone could assist his eldest son Zhu Youxiao, and he asked himself about the mausoleum and other things, and closed his eyes forever.

However, after his death, not only did the "Red Pill Case" come to naught, but Zheng Guifei also joined forces with his favorite concubine Li Xuanshu (Xi Li, who had raised the crown prince) in order to isolate the crown prince in order to achieve her (Zheng Guifei's) ultimate goal of obeying the government and assuming great power.

Coincidentally, Li Xuan's attendant occupied the Qianqing Palace for a long time and refused to move away.

But fortunately, the ministers gave strength, not only secretly took out the prince, but also forced Zheng Guifei and Li Xuanxiao to leave the Qianqing Palace, and the 16-year-old Zhu Youxiao was able to move in.

The "Red Pill Case" was so confusing that many ministers suspected that Zheng Guifei's hands and feet were involved. But what is the specific reason, it seems that everyone does not have the energy to continue to explore, and the result is gone.

And because of the preferential treatment of Zheng Guifei in the Mingshen Sect's edict, everyone did not dare to treat her well.

After the failure to seize power, Zheng Guifei lived alone in Renshou Palace and died in 1630, 3 years longer than Zhu Youxiao.

@文史掌故

Zhu Changluo's childhood, because of his father's preference, was slightly bitter.

There is also Zheng Guifei, who wants to get rid of him all the time, making his life full of accidents.

Fortunately, thanks to the protection of his grandmother and ministers, he was able to succeed to the throne.

And his unfortunate violent death, as well as the experience of his son Zhu Youxiao, are embarrassing.

Being kind and gentle is never wrong, but only a strong individual can protect this "kindness" and "gentleness" and protect oneself and loved ones from being harmed.

And self-improvement is the foundation of standing.
